Ooh, was not expecting a second wave of Gaim Sodo figures but then again I'm not familiar with the release patterns of the Sodo line. Still not sure if I really want to get into the line though since I'm pretty happy with where my Gaim SHF collection is at. lol.

Gaim Kachidoki Arms looks absolutely marvelous. We're honestly SUPER lucky to be able to have this available at retail. The amount of PVC that went into it means it was not a cheap thing for them to do. Also, I just realized all of these figures come with curved weapons...which means we get new hands just to properly hold them, even the DJ Gun in Gun mode and Taiken mode. All of these guys have 4 pairs of additional hands...that's kind of nuts. Honestly, the only thing missing is some way to store all those hands lol
I definitely didn't expect wave 2 of this line to look this way but I'm glad. It really feels like they just wanted to show off those new hands lol with 3 Sonic Arrow users and the DJ Gun, which has a super curvy handle.

Apparently next week, we're getting news on even more SO-DO, SHODO, and SO-DO Chronicle. Nice.

Ah, yeah, I get what you mean. You feel it's more important to have representation of more characters than it is to have the main characters upgrades. I guess it depends on whether you're a fan of Gaim's side riders, or mainly like the main 4

Sort of? Gaim's a show like Ryuki, where a lot of the entertainment is in the large cast of Riders. Drilling down into only three characters (that are in both waves)... it's just a weird thing to do for a Chronicle line which may only have two or three non-Premium releases.

But, like you and Chasing have pointed out, these figures look great! Kachidoki looks like an art piece, and the other three figures are great representations of those suits. I'm not mad at the quality at all! It's more just a disappointment, considering we don't know how few sets this line will have. If I thought they were going to do five or six, yeah, I'd be confident every main character would get a look in. As is, I feel like some are going to go untouched.

This got kind of buried by the Gaim SO-DO discussion, so bumping in case anyone has some advice.

I think the reason no one responded is because Mandarake is really your best bet. You can buy these boxes individually in Japan, but with their price point there's really no point in selling it secondhand outside of Mandarake.

That’s... a very surprising wave; I expected most of these eventually, and figured one Gaim upgrade and/or Zangetsu Shin would be wave 2; but didn’t quite expect it to be all of them! Very weird; Baron Melon especially feels like a premium bandai thing.

But, well, sure; that’s not bad! Gets all upgrades but Kiwami and Emo Ryugen out the way nice and quick. Wondering how we’re gonna get the alternate arms (Pine, Strawberry, Mango, Kiwi) if at all though...
