Bulk Biceps was incredible. :lol

I think Sentai might like this episode.

Mostly because the Wonderbolt suits seemed to be patterned like Goseiger ranger suits. :lol

Spitfire's actions did cause some headscratching, though. One of the fundamentals during Wonderbolt Academy was to never leave your partner, and, well...Yeah.

I saw that the other night.

I really enjoyed it I like how they had a pony class animated by the team for it

I just enjoyed that de Lancie spoke rhythmically for it. Helped assuage my fears for his upcoming appearance.

I want to see his pony self in the show

Okay, something I just noticed and now I'm getting kind of giddy because of it. Two shots from two different episodes but are rather similar.

Notice anything? Both of the rainbow shimmers appeared when each of their respective ponies displayed their element of harmony. Rarity with generosity and Rainbow Dash with loyalty. Could these be two of the keys to unlock the chest? Only time will tell.

You speak as if it wasn't framed to be as obvious as possible. :lol

Anyway, it seems we get one of these rainbow trinkets in an episode that has numerous similarities.
Not just featuring a character displaying their element, but
1) The character discards their element
2) A secondary character who has walked down the path the character has a revelation concerning what's truly right (Coco working for Suri despite knowing her, er...assholishness, Spitfire choosing winning over her friend and teammate)
3) The mane character helps guide the secondary character down the right path, and the secondary character gives them an item of importance

While we only have 2 trinkets, both episode shared these themes, and the widely anticipated Weird Al episode (Which people are assuming will net Pinkie her trinket) seems to feature a similar structure based solely on it's premise (Somepony outpartying Pinkie, which many assume will feature Pinkie breaking her element to beat Cheese Sandwich and etc etc), so only time will tell.

Basically: How could anyone NOT notice the rainbow flash? The episode focused a good 5 seconds on it. It's hard to not see :lol

I'm just happy that the keys won't all be found in the finale. Can you blame me? :lol

This might be my favourite episode this season! I just had so much fun watching it.

Who knew from the very first two-parter years ago that the Wonderbolts would be actual, developed, recurring characters now? It just goes to show how much world-building there is, from the presence of griffins, to Bulk Biceps to more Derpy.

I love this show!

I'm glad that the keys will all be found during the season, but I'm also glad that the stories are managing to be generally self contained. It's episodic in nature while actually continuing a story. It's rather nice.

And hopefully Spitfire will remember the same lesson she learned in Wonderbolts Academy this time :p

I'm cool with it. Her appearance was adorable! :D

I watched it. 2 things:

1. I love the name Bulk Biceps, so glad they didn't call him Snowflake. I'm usre people got real butthurt over that.

2. DERPY! They were smart to keep her mute.

I'm going to watch it a second time before I post my full thoughts.

I think she's funnier as a mute character. :lol

Less offensive too. :lol

I don't know what it is, but that shrug was just so adorable when she didn't say anything with it :lol
It's so nice she got to show up in the final photo!

I do hope we get an episode about them actually participating in the games, now. I need more Bulk Biceps :p

I completely agree, I was confused by that as well. especially since they mentioned Wonderbolt Academy. I feel like it kind of sort of works, since the lesson isn't exactly the same. That one was also like "Don't stomp other people into the dirt, just to get what you want." I did have another issue regarding the Wonderbolts, and that's the fact that they're the Wonderbolts. They're professional flyers, and them going up against a bunch of amateurs gives them a clear unfair advantage. What was weird is also that Bulk Biceps didn't seem to remember that he was in Wonderbolt Academy, and they kind of (for lack of a better term) gimped his flying ability. Another minor nitpick I have is Rarity's outfits. Now, I'm no physicist, but I don't think frilly dresses are very aerodynamic. None of those flaws effected the episode too much for me. I still really enjoyed it. Overall, I feel like season 4 is outdoing season 3 for me, so far, but it doesn't outdo season 2. At least not yet.

I highly recommend anyone who hasn't read the MLP comics to do so. The Luna Micro series comic is one of the most entertaining bits of comic writing I've had the pleasure to read recently.

Just ask Matrix how good the MLP comics are! :D

I never understood why the Wonderbolts participating in a olympic style event was considered an unfair advantage. It's not amateur hour, it's the Olympics...

listening to the mlp songs in Japanese is a bit weird. this day aria though was really well done and sounded smooth in Japanese. chrysalis's Japanese voice actor was awesome. also bulk biceps was funny and seing derpy again was a treat.

So, I'm sitting here, confused why people say the CMC theme song is bad. That's like, the greatest love letter to 80's hair metal ever made :lol

I didn't know Japan had reached A Canterlot Wedding.

I just checked the this day aria video and read it was sung by someone and not from the Japanese version of MLP.
