Nobunaga the Fool: Nobunaga, Jean of Arc, and Leonardo Da Vinci fight against Julius Caesar in giant mechs powered by mystical jewels.
No seriously, it's a thing. And it's kind of cool, the story follows the conflict between the stars of the west and east, a war that a young Nobunaga gets in the middle of after receving "The Fool" a prototpye unit created by Leo... Ok, I can't describe this show without laughing. Nobunaga's biggest problem is that it tries to tackle too much genres and ideas at once, making them feel shallow, there are seeds for some interesting political intrigue, but it rarely goes anywhere, the story takes inspiration invarious moments of the real Nobunaga... when it feels like doing so, the action combining mechs with regular infatry is fascianting... the few times it shows up. As a whole it comes across as interesting, and it's always fun, but it's not a great show per se. If the idea of historical figures duking it out in mechs appeals to you, give it a try, it'll be fun, but not outstanding. Chuunibyo demo koi ga shitai Ren: I can't believe I learned how to type that... Anyways, did you enjoy Season 1? This one is more of the same. The main conflict is solved, but the relationships continue to develop. The new girl is a cool character, and thankfully isn't shoved in every scene. You know the humor, you know the characters, you know if you'll like it. I had fun with it. :lol |
Started watching Gundam Wing. Doesn't seem so bad so far. Deathscythe is as awesome as I thought he would be from my experience of playing the fighting game.

Watched The Girl Who Leapt Through Time recently. I really liked it. It was oozing with charm and was a quite relaxing to watch.
http://i.imgur.com/pXHNEKf.jpg It wasn't without issues, though this may be just subjective to me. I felt at times the pace of the movie was too slow, as if certain scenes were artificially lengthened to add to the running time. Also, things started to get a bit difficult at the end, and I struggled to try to keep sense of the logic or the reasons behind things. Emotionally, the ending was very satisfactory, but I felt distracted as I tried to understand what was going on, or why characters made certain decisions. Still, it's a fantastic movie worth watching, and a good end to a tired day. It's not heart-racing exciting or roll-on-the-floor funny, but it has a bit of both and is just too charming to not be entertaining. In that respect it is very similar to a Studio Ghibli movie. Definitely do recommend it, and anyone here who has seen it, I'd love to discuss the spoilery plot details with you guys! |
I'm watching Kamisama Kiss right now with my cousin. This is freaking hilarious.

Man, Psycho-Pass just keeps getting better and better. Its so tempting to stop watching the new edit edition and just forward to the original :lol

Watched some more of Wing and I'm still enjoying it so far. I do have a few little gripes though, they being that Relena is annoying, Heero is just bleh, and there's not been any real knockout drag out fight yet with the Gundams themselves. Other then those three things I'm liking it so far.
I'm also going to start watching Build Fighters so I can also see what a modern Gundam show is like. Though to be frank so far I have yet to get pulled into or become excited for a Gundam episode. Honestly at the moment going off of now and past experiences, Gundam may end up just being a "Buy the toys cause they're cool but the shows are meh." Then again considering I just came off a very deep (if flawed) mecha show in Evangelion, maybe the lingering fun and excitement of that is lessening my enjoyment of Gundam... ...or it could be that the story is boring right now and not hooking me in one single bit. |
Sailor Moon 3 - Mad that they did NOT kill Jaedite!!!!!
Aldanoah zero 4 and 5 - Still great. |

You shouldn't have watched Wing, man. It had a boring story. So I decided to randomly watch some clips from Persona 4 the animation. And holy shit Yu does not act like that in the game. The dude is stripping and smooth talking everybody. And to hear what is essentially Adachi's voice coming out of Yu's body makes it even more hilarious due to the adachi,"bitches and whores," meme. |

You should check it out. It kind of improves... at times... And Zechs is cool... even if he's Char 2.0. Ah, the club scene? That was hilarious. :lol They might have gone overboard, but seeing him act "drunk" was a change I enjoyed. And many of his lines come straight from the game anyways. |
I watched episode 6 of Megaman NT Warrior Acess.
I actually remember this one! |

I didn't even know Yu was so masculine until the animated club scene. I bet you Locke will give a pass on that one lol. |

Dem abs. :lol |
Oh so they actually dubbed Persona 4 the Animation?
*looks at Persona 3 and Persona 4 Golden License* Well... There goes for dubbing those two, Aniplex rarely dubs any of their Anime unless it becomes a huge Mainstream thing such as Kill La Kill, Madoka, and Gurren Lagaan. Aniplex just has to get everything. |

Given that the entire western fandom is used to the english voice acting it'd be really dumb not to dub em. Junpei isn't the same without his "S'up dude!" :p |
Inazuma eleven episode 20.
The line AMERICA FUCK YEAH kept going through my head as i watched this episode, Ichinose is easily one of my favorite characters. I should really pick up the game on the eshop at some point. |

So yeah it isn't fully engaging and hooking me in, but at least it's picked up and I'm not bored throughout the episode/s. Even if it stays meh on excitement I can keep watching as long as it doesn't fall into "Oh my fucking God this is boring." |

As for the Japanese version, I actually liked it until the third series (I think). I don't remember anymore but the show started to really lose my interest as every season became the same thing over and then things just got really weird with the beast changing stuff. In fact, I stopped playing the games after BN4 as BN5 was just flat out boring and the gameplay overstayed its welcome. BN3 had a perfect ending for the series so there was no need to $equel it to hell afterwards. Quote:

You can add Zankyou no Terror to the list of anime airing this season that I'm watching. So I went from only caring about SAO II to watching four shows. :lol
Add to that Naruto and One Piece and I'm up to six different shows I'm keeping up with... And then sprinkle in my own old anime of choice to catch up on and I'm up to seven (which I think will be Baka to Test next). Dunno how that started getting out of hand so fast heh. |

Char's Counterattack is on Gundam info
*Checks amount of episodes left I need to watch in ZZ* *Checks amount of pages left in Grapes of Wrath* *Checks when school starts* Let's see if I can watch CCA before I go back to school next week and get my summer reading done. And then on to Unicorn! ZZ Gundam episode 35 Kamille is a husk of his former self. He used to angry at shit and have powerful thoughts. Now he's just running around like "Guys, I'm a Newtype, I can help right?" |
Started Kenzen Robo Daimidaler and Digimon Fusion a few days ago. Daimidaler was ridiculous (in a good way) and Fusion was a lot better than everybody makes it out to be. I plan on finishing both at some point.

ZZ Gundam episode 36
...Shit just hit the fan. If this is how you start an endgame, I can't wait for the finale. Puru clones and awakening Judau's newtype powers and colony drops. This shit is getting fucking insane! One problem I have always had with early UC Gundam is scale. First Gundam made the story of the white base a mere tiny spec in this vast war. But considering how everyone brings it up all the time, it seems inapporiate to have it feel that way. Zeta was better, as the Argama played a bigger role and the Gundams were more important, but the giant events never really felt huge. I could never give a shit when a colony sized laser was fired or when a drop was gonna happen. ZZ seems to deliever the goods on my latter complaint. Episode 37 Nahel Argama! Now this is some badass anti-Neo-Zeon fightin' equipment! And Mashymyre is back! Oh fuck you Tomino, Leina is alive? But Puru isn't? Episode 38 Looks like Neo-zeon found some spare Flags and attached Zaku heads to them lol. Episode 39 The fuck is Haman doing on the Nahel? Isn't she the leader of Neo-Zeon? You'd think she'd get one of her subordinates on there instead. Episode 40 I take it back. The Moon Moon episodes weren't the worst episodes of Gundam I've ever seen. This shit was. Really? A fucking creeper/perv/pedophile leader of a colony is concerned about getting girls from a random ship? And Judau and Iino have to dress up as women? The fuck Tomino? At least when Tieria did in 00 years later, it was to contribute to getting information and advancing the plot. I guess since Moon Moon characters are also here, I guess they must be cursed with every apperance they have being terrible episodes lol. And this is annoying filler you shouldn't have in the 40s. The only good thing about this episode was the call back to the first few episodes with the kids wanting to sell the Gundams to pay their taxes. It really shows how far the kids from Shangri-La have come to be arguing against the same motives they had when they weren't on the ship. |
