Ooh, this might be my first Pokemon figure. Torchic/Blaziken was my favourite of the starters in Sapphire. Now I kind of wish I had gotten Blastoise since he was my favourite Gen 1 starter.

Blaziken is not at all an odd choice to me. It's one of the most popular starters, if not the most popular outside of the original three (and maybe more than Venusaur...).

Mega Blaziken, though, is a super odd choice. It... doesn't look that bad really and fuck it I'll get it because Pokémon, but... Hell freaking yeah I would have much preferred a normal one.

Oh yeah I don't deny that standard Blaziken is pretty popular. But the Mega form is just so out there for choices. It must have gone down like this.

Bandai: "Yo! you guys like that SHF Lucario?"
Fans: "Uh yeah how about some more?!"
Bandai" "you know it'd be real easy to make a Mega Lucario..."
Fans: "Yeah?!"
Bandai: "Aww fuck it, Mega Blaziken it is."
Fans: "The hell just happened?"

Maybe they chose Mega Blaziken because of Pokemon X and Y since Torchic was given as a mystery gift event. Also the Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire game is coming out in November.

but that makes normal Blaziken just as relevant.

I've said many times before that I'm all in for Pokémon. Wouldn't be my first choice for the next figure, but I'm not going to complain. More is more.

I don't know why people think normal Blaziken is a more obvious choice than the Mega form. One is a form they've been pushing for about a year now, and one isn't.

If anything this seems like one of the most obvious choices at the moment.

Did they ever put out a version of Asuka in her classic all-red Plugsuit? I simply do not care for the red and orange one.

People! We need a Greninja figure.

It was Figma that did the Eva girls. And no, they didn't.
Revoltech did at least one (I think more though) in their Fraulein line though, and C:MO did a more expensive (so I assume bigger) one more recently.
