Wait, weren't we only getting like maybe 5 riders (all 3 Igarashi siblings, and the producers were considering Hiromi and George) max? Damn, they sure made that consideration quite quick.

Anyhow, might as well talk about him now, I dig a lot of Demon's design aspects:

• The fact that he's asymmetrical makes him immediately stand out compared to almost all the other Spider themed riders/kaijin I've seen/remember.
• The blue eyes going across his helmet front to back make it more interesting to look at from other angels.
• The red muscles of his under suit with two-tone blue armor seemingly bolted on top looks fantastic.

Can't wait to see him in motion next episode.

yeah with how long toy listings have been out, I figured we'd have 2 riders at most by the end of the year

kadota's neat and all but I honestly cannot get excited for demons at all. he reeks of exactly what you said - even though we've known kadota since the first episode

it feels weird to me that we've had revice for the first 5 episodes, then by episode 7 we have revice, evil, and demons

If the Bat and Rider are our 2nd and 3rd Rider, it would make sense for the 4th to be the Cobra.

If it helps, there's still that interview with one of the writers that someone posted a while back about how one of Revice's themes will also be the idea "Isolation", so there's still a chance maybe we'll get more of scenes with just Ikki and Vice throughout the show with the other riders fighting amongst themselves as the b-plot.

I think what makes Demons feel so tacked-on compared to Evil is that he kind of suffers from "Durandal syndrome" (sorry Ryoga). Where, despite his character being introduced beforehand, the whole thing with him actually turning into a rider just kinda happens out of the blue. Like, we just got the reveal of Daiji as Evil, and before this new facet of him/his inner demon can even be explored suddenly we're supposed to get hyped for his senior coworker being KR Demons? (Admittedly, I now sort of see what the writers are trying to go for here, but still.)

the difference is that this year the first quarter toy listings only ever had the revice driver and a new, second driver. with daiji's actor confirming at the show's press conference that he'd transform eventually, it was kinda easy to see where the show was going. not only have we been blindsided by the fact it's "daiji-but-not-really", but they managed to keep another rider under wraps

my point is that 3 riders in the first quarter gives off a very different vibe for the show as opposed to just 2

Meanwhile I'm just weirdly giddy for this supposed side character whose only character trait so far is being all about justice and protecting the peace. :lol
Like, yeah, neat to see Daiji transform we knew that, but damn my excitement is rising when I see Kadota with that belt.

Though, his appearance next week reminds me of Jin who showed up around episode 6. And that worries me. They're both riders with a collectible that already showed up before (Flying Falcon in Reiwa:TFG and Spider Vistamp in Revice 3.5), and both have no unique weapon. Granted, Demons doesn't share a belt with anyone, but damn does it kinda worry if Hiromi is the christmas death.

honestly wouldn't be surprised if demons' driver is some sort of test run for high-level mooks or enemies. that's the vibe it gives me, personally - mostly because there isn't really an apparent gimmick to it at the moment

even though he might have more in common with jin I wouldn't be surprised if he turns out more like hase from gaim

I find it funny that the belt we thought was gonna go to Daiji Is actually going to Kadota. Like SURPRISE

I'm kind of indifferent to new riders being introduced at rapid pace since there such a difference in how the shows handle said multi-rider aspect so Revice could end up be really bad or good at it especially with a new writer at the helm.

I do however think that it's super interesting that Revice's 1st quarter is way smaller Zero-One's and Saber's but it might end up having the similar amount of riders that those two shows had in their 1st quarters. If Hiromi's belt is released as P-Bandai item that would make it 3rd Unique transformation item that isn't a remold of a existing toy after Sabela's and Ryoga's swords.
