I never expected it to be super deep and complex, and Harada said it would be more simplified. I don't think it looks like a one button fighter. To me it looks like a weird blend of Gundam Extreme Vs and Tekken. Also, all we're seeing here are visuals; no one has yet said anything about how it plays.

That's not correct, we don't have all of it, but we did get some Gameplay-facts with the livestream.

Other than that I think I know fighting games enough to determine if I like them or not based on how they are played.

For one thing, in the trailer it looked like the camera is fixed in a 2D-plane but the world and characters are 3D and they can sidestep out and in the 3D-plane. You know, like in Tekken? And it actually looked like a fighting game there. With the new gameplay, it looks like one of these awful 3D-mashers where everything is about spamming as much projectiles as possible to win.

Maybe the word "serious" wasn’t what I looked for, I meant a game that plays casually but offers a base for strategic players. And this looks nothing like it.

I love how Shiny Tyrantrum's color scheme is similar to Gozyujin/Q-Rex. I might try and breed a Shiny one once the HA Tyrunt's are given out and name it Gozyu Rex.

Why isn't there a Dragon-type version of Crunch? It just seems like something a Dragon would do: Bite the hell of of stuff.

There is, it's called: Ice Fang. :p It may not be dragon typed but it's still effective. :lol

I can't decide which starter to get for the Unova distribution. I'd want a Serperior, but I managed to get a Contrary Snivy so that's not so useful anymore.

Its still good since i think its gender locked to be a girl. Females are guranteed to pass down the hidden ability i believe

It's clearly not. The camera is, almost at all times, locked in the same "Cinematic" angles as in the newer gameplay footage. It's less dynamic and more restrained, but the footage rarely resembles the fixed angle a la Tekken.

I know how you feel. I had to breed a Female Torchic with Speed Boost so that I could get a Baton Pass + Speed Boost Blaziken. It took forever to get it.
