I liked this episode but not as much as the previous two. I dunno...it felt rushed to me? I agree with Locke as well that some of the dialogue felt off (but that may just be Aesir's subbing). Still enjoyed it but I hope the next episode is a little bit better paced.

This show is going incredibly fast for better of for worse.
Another fun episode, kinda dissapointed that the bikes aren't giant lockseeds.

Baron looks a lot better in motion than he has in any promo shots I've seen. This is major progress, as my hatred of bananas has had me biased against him from the start :p

Still absolutely loving this show though, it has just about the right balance of everything.

Also fish sausages. Ew.

Now that I've seen it subbed, it's probably the weakest so far, but that's not saying much. It's just that the initial surge has worn off, and it was establishing more facts. It's was a talky episode, but still great. Kota is hands down my favourite character. He's energetic, but not forced. Everything he does seems so completely natural. He doesn't take awkward pauses in his speech, he doesn't strike weird poses. Very good actor this season. I can even kind of understand Mai's problem.

His sister's reasoning was insanely idiotic, and thus has become my least favourite character. Her deffinition of a job is incredibly dumb and vague. Technically he is helping strangers. He's providing entertainment for all the people who watch him. Sure, we know it's not what Kamen Rider powers are for, but how can she know that?

I mean hell, I don't think her acting in this show helped anyone who was hungry, but I bet she still got paid. Who wrote that shit? And I notice she doesn't work, she just farts around the kitchen all day while he fights monsters. Self-entitled idiot.

Thanks Algo, I swear I spat water all over my office desk watching that commercial. It was more hilarious than the episode.

I know it seems completely too fast because they're throwing everything in the blender (pun intended), but I actually think that's for the best. There's a lot of material that can be written and I'm sure if this is a warring states style story, I'd rather it be condensed for the character prologues as much as possible.

I still think they're spelling Beat riders wrong. Should be Beet Riders. Because we need some vegetables with all this fruit.

While I think Akira's argument is very flawed, I at least see why she would try that approach when she thinks it's just a game that Kuota isn't directly participating in (in that she doesn't know Kouta's getting in the ring himself). Her view is Kouta's playing Pokemon and he's getting paid for it. That is not a real job.

Again, I think Akira's approach is wrong. I just understand her line of thinking. I hope she tries something else next time because this argument just isn't very good.

I really hoped somebody took caps of the ads, you never dissapoint. :D
Gaim is great, but those ads are simply stupidly awesome.

They are throwing everything they can at us, doesn't bother me, Blade started that way and I loved it, plus from all the interviews and scans it seem they have enough material to keep up the pace.

Actually, when I thought about this, I actually thought maybe this makes sense. Remember how jailbait says the complete opposite and that further inspires Kouta's conviction to getting back into Beat Riding and being a superhero or whatever? Only for him to then return home, and get ranted out for completely the opposite reasons? "Do things for yourself." "Do things for others." I'm guessing the whole two sides of the same coin thing is dramatic foreshadowing of what is going to come later.

Or I'm over thinking this and making excuses for bad writing.
