I don't understand this messing up childhood memories statement. Whichever director it is, the suits, zords, and actors will be different. Its a reboot, not a remake, so expecting the same MMPR from the 90s, you are gonna be dissapointed.

Thats not what people are getting at. Its the Robot Testicle, jerking off gags, peeing on other characters and ripping the enemys face off Part people cringe at when they hear Michael Bay.

I don't think it will be that hard to make a good Power Rangers movie. The last two movies were bad, but in truth, they were faithful to the their TV counterpart.

I think this movie will be a popcorn movie.

Yeah :lol The thing with Bay is his Movies look cool but most of the time are offensive as shit. It normaly works since he does R rated movies but it doesnt translate to his PG-13 projects. And I dont know if its worth a pretty movie when we get Ghetto Zack trying to get into Kimberlys Pants (she will be played by megan fox.... Of course) all while trini and Billy play up there stereotypes to unseen proportions.

If bay was given this we would see high school of modern day we wod have a jock Jason a. Dancing rapper zack full on geek nerd billy a love hot girl Kimberly a geeky Asian trini and rival jock tommy forced to work togather to fight evil

But you basically described the cast anyway? Jason was the school bully in MMPR, Billy was the insecure nerd...and one of the strongest on the team? (eh?). Kimberly was 'the girl', Tommy was just Jason in slightly more edgy 90s attire. About the only change you made was Zack and even he was just a racist black stereotype.

You guys act like Bay will ruin these great characters, but MMPRs team was shit anyway.

I agree. I like MMPR, but it was not great storytelling. Alot of it was simple and cheesy. So I'm not too picky on picking a director. This movie will be more on action than story. Its not going to win an Oscar by any stretch.

Okay, I see that now that I had some more time to relax and read the articles my friends blaster at me. I swear, haha, the minute most of my friends found out about this, my phone nearly exploded. I need to hang with more Toku watchers.


Also: Although this is a convo for a different site on a different day, I don't quite understand the Bay hate. I guess it's easy to point the finger at him, but he didn't rape childhoods all by himself. I wish peeps understood this. It's the design team who's created the TF's, the writer/s who wrote a story you didn't like, the casting crew who picked actors you don't like and so on. Bay just directed their movements and occurrences they experience. Bay didn't direct AND write, create from the ground up visuals or cast the movies.

So will I. I quit Transformers because of him, and if he's involved with this movie, I'll quit Power Rangers.

He's put enough of his influence in Transformers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, we don't Power Rangers in his line of sight next.
