It's not really. It's just a really generic term that's been given to making cosplay items which aren't clothing.

Anyway, great job OOO! Was the silver paint you had naturally close to the colour of the head or did you need to mix it?

Really? Well, then I discerned the wrong meaning from "Face Off". They call it fabrication when they create their props and other parts of their costumes that aren't cloth.

Thanks buddy ^_^. It was as close as I could find, so what I did was paint over the base red with a slate gray then applied thin layers of the silver until it looked just about right ^_^

Yeah, it generally revolves around props and armour made of foam etc. I just really dislike it as a term because "fabrication" could apply to ANYTHING :lol

Hey OOO what kind of colors are you using? Thinking of painting up my Dino Charge Blue Ranger but dont really know what colors to use.

Try taking a rag or some sort of cloth and gently polish the surface, it'll make the silver a lot more brilliant.
