your the first person i heared that said that due to alot of fan even fans of dub that grew up with it loved it. and film more based on the manga that hardly had friendship crap. but just show you never like the orignal season or the manga.

It just did things I do not like that cause me to cringe badly. Having a conversation about your history and friendship where a giant crowd can hear probably confused on whats going on. That causes me to cringe badly. The villain I cared nothing for that I already forgot his name less than an hour from finishing the movie. The cubic deck and the whole dimension dueling was just boring for me and felt unneeded. The only thing I kinda like was the ridiculous measures Kaiba went to just to duel Atem. I mean good god how is he able to afford some of this shit? There is no way in hell his company could rake in this kind of money to make stuff like a personal space elevator to a personal space station. Then having a fucking dimension transport in the said station. I mean my god he apparently even made sure every single strand of hair was perfect on a Atem hologram. If Kaiba was not in this movie then it would be even more forgettable shit.

The dubtitles for the new Yu-Gi-Oh movie is getting fixed.

I think it's bullshit that people who bought the discs in Canada from a store like Best Buy can't exchange them for replacements. That is quite shady, but not surprising from Anchor Bay.

I'll wait until Amazon notifies me that they are now selling the corrected version before I lay a cent on it.

So VRAINS is only 11 episodes in with episode 12 hopefully being the final part of this four part duel between Playmaker and Revolver. It seems a bit too early for the multi part duels and it seems that every duel in the show will consist of 2 parts, the build up and the actual duel. Each part being an episode long might get tiring so I hope things keep going like this.

Wow, it's already got a 4 parter duel despite being 12 episodes long? I'm glad I gave up after the third episode.

I hope its only a 4 parter because with the preview for episode 12 it could be 5. What sucks about this is in episode 9 Playmaker and in episode 10 Revolver starts a duel then Revolver disrupts it so he can move them to a new location to start a new duel. If you were to consider build up episode which was episode 8 then this could be considered a 5 parter.

To further my point from earlier, just found out that arc-v has a hebrew dub
before i explain how bad it is let me shed some light on how hebrew dubs for anime work- THEY ALWAYS AND I MEAN ALWAYS use the english dub as the basis for the hebrew dub- I think you can all understand the problems that can cause.

anyway...
the hebrew dub of arc-v went with complete disregard of previous yugioh dubs (all the previous shows except zexal have hebrew dubs) so any terminology they used in previous dubs is completely ignored-
synchro summon (which was translated perfectly in the 5d's dub) somehow got translated as "parallel summon" how tf did they get to that?
tuners got translated as "upgraders" (which kinda makes sense, but its still pretty bad)

So I am sure you all will agree that clip shows are one of the fucking worse kinds of episodes. I really hate them that unless done in a funny or interesting way they are so annoying because while my memory is not that great its not hard to remember this shit. So I usually skip through clip shows maybe missing important stuff because fuck clip shows.

Now the reason I am ranting right now is because episode 13 of VRAINS is a fucking clip show. WHY?!?!?!?!??!?!?! There has only been four duels and not enough stuff has happened. SO WHY A FUCKING CLIP SHOW?!?!?!? ARE THEY FUCKING LAZY?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!??! I have been trying to give VRAINS a chance but no this is bullshit!

Here I will spoil the episode

Playmaker is hacking through the internet erasing any footage he finds of himself. Ghost Girl a ninja like information collector, is selling info and footage of Playmaker to two reporters in VRAINS. The reporters go to a special location in VRAINS that was made so they can edit their stories. There they view the footage which is just mostly clips of the four duels with Ghost Girl giving info that we already know. Once they finish watching the footage, they are happy for the story that will get them promoted as the footage is deleted by Playmaker.

From what one person said on Youtube I think the production might be rushed, fucked up, or something like that. I just hope there is a good reason. If the director had to say sorry then something must of happened.

Sounds like the director is either stupid or crazy. He doesn't even know what the hell he doing with the show anymore. It also similar to what happen to Kamen Rider Hibiki. Glad I stop watching yugioh after 5D's that was the 2 best yugioh show. After that the show went to shit lol.

5Ds plot was decent but I blame it for how the franchise has gone down the drain.

Because with 5Ds the series went from being about playing card games to what ever stupid gimmick the writers could think of for the next series.

At this point the series is just a zombie being kept alive by Konami wanting to sell cards.

I personally know about any of the Yu-Gi-Oh shows after Duel Monsters. I didn't know what Elemental Hero cards where until 2014 and didn't know what XYZ cards are until yesterday.

I stop playing the card game when I started High School in 2005. I would love to play the game again, but they changed so much of it. It went from a simple childern's card game to something more complex similar to Magic.

Its not too complicated from what I can tell up to Pendulum Summoning but Link Summon is still confusing.

Sadly, the game lost its fun in the last few years. Hell, I am finally selling off my entire card collection. :(

Yeah, they didn't exactly do a good job of explaining Pendulum summoning, even in their own show.

They did enough that you can get the basic idea of how it works though do need to practice it, But I know VRAINS is failing to explain how the hell Link Monsters work with the seven duels the series had so far.

Link Summoning is pretty basic, all things considered...

Has any of the other Yu-Gi-Oh series been any good? I remember watching GX before it was dubbed in 2005 and I drop it after 4 episodes. I didn't like any of the new characters at all.

The original series (Season 0 and Duel Monsters) was far from perfect, but I did like it for having a memorable cast of characters and having a cool mythology. Not the best anime or manga, but it was still enjoyable for what it was (I prefer the manga over the anime).

GX is good, 5Ds is good at the start but the ending is shit. Zexal isn't bad but do not watch the dub and takes a couple of episodes to get into. Arc-V is pretty good there are some hiccups in the show (FUCK YOU SHIVER KID) but it is really good, just make sure to skip the final episodes after they beat the final villain.

The first 64 episodes to 5Ds are great and then you can just drop the show since the main villain is defeated.

Yeah 5Ds kinda takes a nose dive after the Dark Signers ark.

Couldn't get into Zexal but I heard it picks up later on. I need to watch Arc-V one of these days, it's basically the Decade or Gokaiger for Yugioh.

From what most people say, GX is good from S2 onward. 5Ds is good at the start, but you can basically drop it like, 60 or 70 episodes in. ZeXal is not good. Arc-V apparently goes full on KR Decade in it's second half, visiting the other 4 YGO series. What that says about it's quality, I don't know, since I never bothered.

Yu-Gi-Oh's original manga (Before Duel Monsters) was super fun and I love it.

Honestly GX is my favorite, I prefer season 1 though.

Season 2 had a more overarching villain but I wasn't a fan of the Neos cards.

Season 3's second half drags on for way too long.

Season 4 is okay I guess...

One of my main issues with GX was how much of a spoiled brat Judai was. He loses one duel and then goes all emo, quits the school, and leaves. All over losing ONE. FREAKING. DUEL!

The manga to the original series is fantastic. I hate that Viz split them up with subtitle names for each major arc rather than just keep them 1-38 though. It's so annoying and confuses people into thinking they were different series.
