Allow me to go on record and say that the Butler from Pacman is freaking adorable and one of the cutest things i've seen in animation.

Took a trip down nostalgia lane today and checked out the opening episode of Extreme Dinosaurs. It's as awesome as the concept suggests but also as dumb as the concept suggests and the writers never try to really elevate it beyond the preconceptions the title would instil.

I've never quite heard of that series.
But that title alone has peaked my interest :lol

Anyway, I'm working on getting Legend of Korra to watch, and decided, since the normal Avatar isn't up on Netflix, to get that show, too.

They started in Street Sharks then got their own show which wasn't connected to Street Sharks at all. Street Sharks is a lot better as well.

I never even knew Street Sharks had a spinoff show.
Hm. I'll check out the first episode. "Extreme Dinosaurs" screams 90's so hard it's making me hype :lol

That's practically the only show Nicktoons airs and i'm tired of it.

I don't get Nicktoons.

The only really impressive things that channel has are Digimon, Yugioh and on occasion they show older Power ranger seasons.

They show Avatar almost all the damn time and it's tireing, especially considering that they mostly only show the basingse arc and that arc is freaking boring.

You might want to expand your anime palette if Yugioh is one of the shows impressing you.

I personally enjoy the Ba Sing Se stories, since it's not an arc, it's the setting of the story for about half of Book 2.

I don't really mean impressive as "Woah this is awesome!" i mean it as "Sweet this channel has Yugioh! Didn't see that coming."

I honestly don't get where all the hate for this series is coming from, I mean my god: the show hasn't even started yet. I mean, yeah the animation looks…weird, but I thought the same thing about Green Lantern, gave that a chance and ended up loving it.

At least Beware the Batman looks far less insulting then Teen Titans Go...

I hate this style of CG animation where everyone looks like a daddy long legs, I just hope it isn't quite as clunky as the similarly animated Tron cartoon. Or as clunky as the not CG but similarly stylised Motorcity that knew how to make epic action involving cars but made every person look like Slenderman in a fight.

And Beware the Batman is getting hate for one reason, and literally one reason.
"IT'S NOT YOUNG JUSTICE OR GREEN LANTERN!"

That's it. I assure you. Anyone saying stuff about the animation or design is bullshitting you since it looks no worse than Green Lantern, and design that's not even bad shouldn't garner this much hate (I understand disliking it, but it's getting way too much hate for it to be solely on clunky CG).

It's only because it's not YG or GL.

I think the negative attitude is just due to Batman burnout.

This is his FIFTH cartoon series; much as I love the character I do think that Batman's had more than enough attention in recent years.

But Young Justice was rubbish, so surely if Beware isn't YJ then that is a good thing.

yea i Huge superman Fan and I am Still Waiting for A new cartoon where he is the main hero no side character like in the Batman of Brave and the Bold th elas time we had him as a main like in cast of JL and his own Title Show

Loke Becarefull with that word due to i am fan of that show and so are many other on this forum i dont think we need to start another Fan Depate here due to it brung back awesomness of the DCAU and when back to part of the DC carttons have not been for awhile

I think that would have more grounding if any series beyond Brave and the Bold were more recent.

How so?
YJ did everything you love and decried Avatar for (Despite Avatar doing yadda yadda). Romance (Way too damn much for my tastes, but it was still there), ongoing plots, consequences for actions, plot threads that aren't resolved the next episode, etc etc.

But it was just soppy teen melodrama, cheap animation, clunky storytelling and the show jumped all over the map. I think it's easily one of the worst things DC have made animationwise, right alongside Teen Titans which basically suffered all the same problems.

heyDerric J whyatte was part of Titains and he one of my Faverie animation Desogners and made alot of things work to blend in with the DCAU you and the Animation for YL is more in the Side of the animation of the DC Animated Movies and Fits in with that Universe

So I just finished watching Scooby Doo! Mystery Incorporated. The show is simultaneously brilliant and messed up at the same time just because of the ending, in which, after destroying an evil entity from another dimension that had devoured an evil, intelligent, talking parrot named Professor Pericles to become a giant parrot-Cthulu Makuta, the entire timeline of the series is rewritten so that the events that lead up to that battle never happened, since the entity ceased to exist, with only Mystery Incorporated and a science-fiction author who had grown in tune with the space-time continuum being aware of the change. Evidently, changes to the timeline have happened before on numerous occasions, which could explain why there are so many Scooby Doo! continuities.

This is the darkest Scooby Doo! cartoon I have ever watched, (people actually die on-screen,) but it is light-hearted. It's a lot like Richard Donner's Superman in that regard. It also has the most story, since the entire series had been building up to that final confrontation. It's 52 episodes long and had an incredibly erratic airing schedule, but I would highly recommend it.

And in between "Brave & the Bold" and now, we also got:

*Arkham Asylum
*Arkham City
*Batman: Year One DTV
*Dark Knight Returns 2-part DVD
*at least two of Christopher Nolan's movies if I remember the timing right

But where was the animation cheap? If you're going to call Ben 10 "No one will notice sliding cells in place of actual movement!" Alien Force to have better animation, then you're just lying.

I didn't realize you were talking more than just TV shows.

And I'm always down to end Batman, but until everyone stops playing up the BatGod, then he's going nowhere.

But I'm not really a big fan of that almost anime style of American animation that they use in YJ, it's never quite as fluid as I think they think it is and I liked a lot of the designs and stuff but found most of the fights really poorly choreographed and clunkily animated to match.

Not a fan of the song, the animation doesn't look bad. It's similar to Green Lantern, and I can dig that.

I agree, what with the Nolan movies, and the Arkham games.

Anyway, finished Season 1 of Avatar. I still enjoyed it. The mythology was admittedly confusing, but it was setting up for something bigger by episode 5, which I didn't catch during my first viewing.

So I hear Deadpool is going to be in Ultimate Spiderman.

I've kinda grown to dislike the show, it's an okay show to watch every now and then but I do think that kind of show would be perfect for someone like Deadpool.
