How are the daft punk figuarts? Ive been debating with myself if i want to order them.

The articulation may as well be non-existent it's so limited by the sculpt of the clothing. Both had chrome defects right out of the box. Looks like finger prints dried on it during the chroming process. But let me tell you they come with a ridiculous number of hands.

Man, what is going on with Bandai? It seems like their Figuarts have taken a massive nose dive in quality control over the last 12 months. When I started collecting them in 2012, there was nothing a single issue I had. This year though, I've got figures with pieces that fall off due to bad sculpting, easy to break plastic, holes not properly molded/cut, henshin belts that just fall off from looking at them wrong, etc.

The worst Figuart I've gotten this year is I guess Wizard Flame, cuz he does like to pop in half a little too easy, but it's not that bad, and the belt falls off all the time, but I'll just glue it on one of these days, Other than that he's fine, and Water was a little better, and Land and Hurricane are lots better.

Everything else has been great, though sometimes the outward motion of the hip joints is looser than I would like. Maybe you've bought more than I have, but I think I've got a fair number of Figuarts from this year and haven't had any bad sculpting, breakage or other problems.

The Daft Punk figures really are terrible. I love Thomas & Guy so I'll keep them for that. But they are not good toys. And certainly not worth aftermarket prices I've been seeing them go for.

The only other disappointing figure I could even think of from this year is ZX which is a loose floppy mess. I actually had to take the entire neck and head assembly apart on mine and assemble it properly because his head couldn't move at all. And then Gavan. Honestly all 4 Metal Heroes are duds. Not so stellar articulation, chrome flaws, easily broken wrist pegs. Those were all disappointments.

I got the Faiz for 25 bucks off ebay with free Shipping and New Den-O for 20 bucks with shipping. So Happy I have a form of Faiz now =)

The 5 mini figures were 20 bucks with shipping and I only bought 3 (Nigou, Riderman, and Stronger) of them the store sent me the other 2 (Ichigou and Skyrider) for free because they didn't sell.

My fiancé surprised me with a U.S. First Edition of Artemis Fowl signed by the author Eoin Colfer for my birthday yesterday.

I've kinda been splurging a little bit all month (including pre-orders for the Legacy Green Ranger stuff), but yesterday I specifically ordered a Beetle Bonder from BBB as a bday present to myself. It's something I've always wanted and I'm very excited to get it.
