So, this might already be common knowledge but I never heard conformation of it; the film is going international, right? I'm sure most movies do, but I was just curious since the reaction to this in Japan is gonna be something interesting to see. Atleast in my eyes.

The movie is a big budget Hollywood film. The movie will be release overseas. I think Japan will likely get the movie. The 1995 MMPR movie did get release over in Japan sometime in 1996 or 1997. I think the movie will also do really well in China and Korea. China will probably the biggest money maker for the movie.

If it's selected for release in China. They sometimes surprise me with what they don't let in. I don't really think it will be blocked, but you never know.

That's true. Didn't it take forever for them to let in Star Wars despite the massive popularity? If that's the case I doubt this film will reach them. Either way, the reboot movie is so unlike other PR-related things that reactions here & elsewhere will definitely fun to watch.

Cut him some slack. For someone that grew up with Beast Wars (Even though I saw a lot of G1/G2), Chalk was THE Optimus.

No. Peter Cullen was THE Optimus Prime.

You're missing the point entirely. He most likely didn't grow up with G1.

No. He wasn't.
Peter doesn't emote. He uses the character's position as a means to get across his message in a strong manner.
I don't give a fuck who came first. I love Cullen's Prime, but Chalk's Optimus Primal is untouchable and easily beats out G1 Prime. The only thing that keeps Chalk from being The Optimus Prime is that I admire his Primal, and Primal isn't a Prime.

And there's the difference. Chalk wasn't Prime, he was Primal. Not the original, but a successor.

Not to 90s-00's kids like me.

No but you missed the point of my comment. Sure Chalk was Optimus Prime at one point, but I think it's weird that someone remembers him as Optimus Prime instead of Optimus Primal.

Which leads me to believe the guy googled Chalk's name and misread Optimus Primal as Optimus Prime. I could be wrong of course, but it’s still weird.

Indeed. technically, I think he was Optimus Prime longer than he was Optimus Primal. He definitely has more episodes representing Prime over Primal, for sure.

But I understand why it might come strange to kids who grew up on Beast Wars. It'd be like saying David Kaye is the voice of Optimus Prime...which he was for three seasons of Animated. But I associate him as Beast Megatron, personally.

Gary Chalk? Cool. Loved him in Tf as Prime, good to see another known actor added to this. :)

Before thing get out hand chalk was primal for three season of BW and Two season of BM and he voiced prime in the unicron trilogy ditch was armarda energeon and cybertron so saying he was not prime is wrong as he was both for me him being in this movie I think he be new MR kaplin

"3 other green man fighting him" I want to know if the baddies they fight are going to be cgi or costumes. Please costumes, watching the avengers fight cgi aliens has never been my cup of tea and I'd hate to see that happen to this movie.
