Build is supposed to bring Kamen Rider back to its roots

Judging by the Ex-Aid episode appearance and the "I'm looking for you Mr. Murderer" line in the trailer, Build seems to be a more playful Rider

That shot of the dude in the water tank reminds me of every Showa rider origin as well as Faiz and Blade. Little homages like that are always welcome.

Interesting design.

Assuming the Strong Smash is what gives Build the material for the Gorilla Full Bottle. I can't help but notice how the design of both Smash(Smashs? Smashes?) don't really give you any hint to their animal counterpart. If anything, they just look fully mechanical.

I wonder if that means the Full Bottles names are just made up by Sento based on whatever animals or objects the Full Bottle's abilities seem similar to.

Needle is probably how he gets hedgehog.

And I'd love a figuart of those Guardians.

Despite making the Build Driver, the Build Phone, the Drill Crusher etc; it isn't Sento who makes the Full Bottles, but Misora, who can purify Smash somehow.

She does seem whimsical enough to name them that way, though.

It also says multiple guardians can combine into a giant robot.
So... basically Ginis from Zyuohger.

Nitrogue is a lieutenant of Faust and seems to show up in Sento's blurry memories. Other than that the designer for Smash designs are by Tamotsu Shinohara who is famous for Changerion, Ryuki, and Gekiranger.

The guardians are interesting. Hopefully they'll actually have some plot contribution, rather than just failing to do much until Build shows up.

From what I understood, she just purifies or harvests material from the Smash that Build defeats, Sento is still the one who actually makes the Bottles.

Also, the Guardians are interesting, I assume their combined form will be where we get the giant cgi battles from. Can't quite decide if they're supposed to be riders/pseudo-riders like the Riotroopers and Zectroopers, or just kinda soldiers. Think it'll depend how they're portrayed in the show.

Does anyone else just vaguely remember hearing about some of those combinations before? Not the ones we know are happening, but maybe one or two of these new sounds were mentioned in the very first text-only toy catalogs? Unicorn + Eraser and Penguin + Skateboard ring a bell to me for some reason.

Fairly certain they weren't - Eraser certainly threw me, for instance.

I doubt if all Build's Forms will be used in series. I think some of forms will be used in movies, hyper battle video, and video games.

Do the comments indicate that Cobra and Castle are a Best Match, as Google Translate leads me to believe?

That comment is asking if perhaps the Bottles starting with Cobra and then jumping down to Castle up to CD aren't Best Matches, since there's 10 of them and they don't appear to be Legend Rider-specific. Cranejoe doesn't really confirm or deny this, just says there are many Best Matches and he hasn't confirmed them all yet. It would make sense though.

Also I just realized I forgot Spanner and Kuwagata (Stag Beetle) in between Fukurou and CD.

Thankfully, Fullbottles aren't that pricey. This would have killed me if the gimmicks had the electronics!

No perfect match for Gaim, oh well. I was hoping after the game/Dr and USB/detective we'd get a Fruit/armor Lockseed/something, but I guess a straight up "Gaim" will do. Nice to see Fouze get a match, though.

Oh nice! I missed that completely. I just skimmed through, then looked at the Rider matches. Didn't wanna get too spoiled. I have a great feeling about this series.

Not necessarily, the last several belts with sounds in them have had a Super Sentai sound, and I'm pretty sure Wizard was the only one that ever used it. Similar thing with the Ganbarizing sounds, actually. We got so close with the Ganbarizing gashat, hopefully we'll actually get to see ButtobaGanba form.



On another note, is it at all possible the SmartphoneWolf form is actually the Faiz form?

I would think the Legend Rider forms would do a little something more to identify themselves (like calling it a "Legend Match" rather than Best Match, or something), but I haven't seen/heard any of those sounds yet, so maybe?

EDIT: Also, looking at some of those forms, I really hope this ends up like Ghost and we see close to all of those in Ganbarizing. CrocodiCon and PenguinSkater in particular are a must. CupEnergy is weird though, wonder if that's a promotional thing?

From what I know, the Legend Rider Forms announce the Rider name, yes, so SmaWolf IS a reference to Faiz, but isn't the Faiz form, no.
