This is pretty embarrassing.

So a while back, I had issues with the ankles on my G.I. Joe Renegades Scarlett. I used the old super-glue trick and after some coaxing, they worked fine again.

Fast forward to last night. I had been having problems with Kamen Rider Black's left ankle, and had been meaning to get some clear nail polish, but never did. I figured I'd try the super glue trick on him since it worked so well on Scarlett. After applying the glue to the joint and working it while it dried, it seemed to be tight again, so I left him alone. Now, I wake up and the glue has caked itself into the joint to the point where his ankle movement is severely limited (the front tilt, I should say, the side tilt is unaffected). It feels like there's some area of the joint being blacked that I can't see. Now, I'm not sure what to do. I have no idea how to disassemble the joint or if I even can without damaging the figure. I still have the packaging totally in tact and there's a Bluefin sticker on the box, so is it possible that I can contact them for a replacement?

What about the Gokai Galleon Buster?

That option is totally out, you did the damage so there's no way they would replace it.

I'd try heating the joint with a hair dryer. It might soften the glue up a bit for you to gently move it around and loosen it up a little. Beyond that I don't know what you could do =\

It's looking like I need to disassemble the ankle. Anyone know how to knock out the pin?

EDIT: Thinking I'll just deal with him having limited ankle movement. Better than making things worse.

I know there's a well-publicized fix for overly-tight Figuarts joints using shock oil.

Has anyone here had any experience with this repair?

I did, and I definitely swear by it now, the effect is nothing short of amazing, just remember to use very very teeny tiny amount!

Just won my first Figuart off of eBay -- Kamen Rider Ichigo! Can't wait to get this guy, especially since I have been enjoying KITSubs fansubs of Kamen Rider.

I notice that this is the S.H. Figuarts thread, and I apologize in advance if this is the wrong forum for this topic but does anyone know if S.H. Figuarts will eventually make Zyuranger figures?

There's nothing on the table for them right now, but it is always a possibility. The only thing keeping it from happening is that Zyuranger was not, apparently, that popular in Japan. Bandai might still recognize the potential market due to MMPR fans, though. I'd certainly break down and buy them all if they're made.

Creating taglines for Figuarts used to be the best thing ever. Then I saw awesome Zyuranger/MMPR customs.

(Also, I'm an idiot and mixed up a Lay's slogan for the Pringles one. Even so, they're all chips and it still works, damn it!)

I would break down and buy them all if Bandai released them. But to be honest, as cool as these would be, I think I'd prefer the MMPR movie 1 suits to the all spandex tv ones. They would make for some super cool figuarts designs. Maybe even SICs!

He used various Figuarts Shinkenger bodies, as well as the exclusives. The heads are from the softbi line from my understanding.

Those customs are incredible! I vaguely remember seeing his (at least I think it was his) TimeFire custom too a while back. Wish I had the skills to pull off something like this.

I could totally see the movie suits working as SICs.

In retrospect, the movie MMPR suits were SICs before SICs existed. I mean, they took the base design of the suit, and gave it an armored up aesthetic. That's the SIC shtick when you think about it.

Question: I adore OOO, and I want the Figuarts Ahnk hand, and the Figuarts OOO, any pitfalls I should be aware of?

Over all I find Sky High a bit bland, and that's mainly due to the character he is and the way the costume is designed, he can pull off a majestic look though, so more for display rather than play like Tiger and Bunny

I'm assuming that the second head piece is for a soft version of the head spike. But what's the point of the tiny gold piece on the sprue? That's been confusing me for a while.

Have you watched Tiger & Bunny? Sky High's spike was cut by one of the main villains, the extra mask is where the spike was cut, and the little piece is the part of the spike that was cut off.

Can somebody explain for sure what this is? Is it the SHF Base States with a bunch of modules, or is it a different line?

That's the Module Change Series. Besides all of the unreleased modules, what makes this special is the Base States figure is a clear version of the regular release.

You should definitely check it out, it's a great show!
