Looking at the shapes of the gimmick items and that the belts of Zi-O and Gates seem to be the same, I'm guessing Gates using Ghost and Drive mutually exclusively is gonna be like Specter and Necrom's Eyecons -- technically there's no reason the other riders can't use their gimmick items, they just... don't.

I didn't know that about Hibiki, yikes. Puts me off watching the series a little.

I just want a quick correction about something I've seen thrown about here, though I don't want to get too involved - I don't like getting into arguments on forums - I just want to make a quick correction because I dislike incorrect definitions being thrown about. The definition of Misogyny is not restricted purely to hatred and contempt for women; it also includes ingrained prejudice towards women. So some of the things that have been called misogyny here are definitely valid in being called as such.

That same rumour talking about 3 movies and Zi-O being a woman talks about the main actors of Faiz, Kiva, Gaim and Ghost coming back at the least for certain episodes ala Gokaiger. And I'd be very surprised if some of the more recent ones like Ex-Aid's didn't come back either.

That series overview I'm curious as to where it came from. Most of it seems feasible except Sento's appearance.

That actually doesn't strike me as that far-fetched since Wataru makes a few appearances throughout Decade.

So I looked this up and it seems that at the time word got to the agency's CEO that Hosokawa was on a power trip mistreating his managers, they got pissed rightfully so and decided to fire him. Hosokawa denied the claims and brought along his lawyer to the agency demanding an apology. CEO in response pretty much said to hell with this and gave him the boot.

No they aren't, but people are going to continue to see what they want to see, and I'm not going to continue going back and forth on this subject here.

Also is it weird that if Zi-O is actually a woman I want Kiriko's actress to play the lead role? I know Tokusatsu tends to use fresh actors as leads, but one of the best things about Orb is that they used Hideo Ishiguro who's already an experienced actor to play Orb.

And if anything it's clear Zi-O is taking cues from Orb and Geed's success, so why not?

Sento will be Zi-O's personal Master Roshi. :lolol

Is it me or is it taking longer for DX things to leak? It's probably because it's a huge toyline but still, I want pictures of the DX stuff and I'm an impatient brat

There is something that's bother me about the listings though (although they're probably official):
1. No mention of the Drive Armor for the Rider Armor series or the vinyl series, despite the fact that it's one of the most advertised forms.
2. No mention of the Ghost RideWatch. It's probably coming with the holder, but it's weird that they wouldn't mention it as they did with the Den-O and OOO RideWatches.
3. No mention of DX releases for Genm, Brave, Rogue, Mach, or Meteor. Gashapon doesn't really include unique items in it's listings (unless it's the secret hard-to-get item for that wave), so it's strange not to see DX counterparts for those items.
4. While it's possible, it's kind of weird that every Hesei rider would be done in the first quarter, on top of the previously mention lack of DX releases for the Secondary and Tertiary Riders.

^ I do agree that it's odd that every DX toy is seemingly included in that list. Wouldn't they want to stagger the Ride Watch releases? Ride Watch Daiza with Den-O seems to imply some kind of special item, possibly for an upgrade form? I mean it would make sense - Den-O is a time-based Rider too. Lots of items and weapons this time around it seems.

Doubt the secondary and tertiary Riders will be getting DX releases until later on. They probably won't be used in the show, that would be way too many forms. It's not out of the ordinary, there have always been collectibles exclusive to capsule toys.

Also, they are selling the DX Gates Ride Watch separately. If Zi-O was really female I would assume they would have to bundle it with the Jikuu Driver so it seems less likely now. Plus, that vinyl figure is pretty telling. That being said, they'd want to make Zi-O as marketable and gender-"neutral" as possible so it's not entirely out of the picture. Just the chances are pretty unlikely.

It's also strange that Gates gets a Genm form and Vinyl figure, and yet there's supposedly no DX Genm RideWatch.

Quite true, although it means we're in for more toys in Quarter 1 than Build, which is a.... little scary.

Also, there has to be a DX RideWatch for all of the previously mention secondary and tertiary riders, as the GP (03 and 04) sets for Build only included items that had DX counterparts. Again, it doesn't mean that this listing is wrong, just that we might have a LOT of merchandise for the first quarter.

I guess that allows consumers to grab their favourite Rider off of the bat instead of waiting for a staggered release? The toyline sounds absolutely nuts.

That seems likely. They are going right into the holiday shopping season with this. And if the rumors are true it's a shorter series, they may try to time it to two massive releases. With a lighter 3rd quarter on Zi-O as it begins a new product cycle too. Going into the hype for this as the 20th and precursor to the 50th etc. Was kind of expecting heavier toy amounts anyway.

Really curious how the armor series is going to work for the figures though.

Getting a kind of feeling it might be a mix of OOO's head swap style with a front part that connects to the torso to lock it in place. Kind of like ghost in a way. But more focused on the head and front with shoulder armor. Like a fold over flap. So to swap, you lift the head and then hit the release button, or it attaches another way to the front to swap them. Not sure. But really curious how they're going to integrate the armor change into the figure line this go around. Hopefully the shoulders are some kind of side attachment and not part of the main torso/head piece so they can be optional on the toys by preference.

And we know that's the case this time. The pages showing those RideWatches literally label them "Gashapon Original," meaning that the safe bet is we won't be getting them as DX.

The exception is the Genm RideWatch, which has an associated form listed. My bet is that it's gonna be promotional item.

Writing by Yasuko makes sense - she wrote some of the most popular Rider shows in history including Den-O, OOO and Ryuki and most recently was the head writer on both Amazons S1 + 2. That being said, she rarely writes for cross-overs. Moreover, people have noted that her schedule should be pretty full coming up due to her involvement in writing the new JoJo anime.

So take this one with huge grains of salt.

Nothing here that someone couldn't infer from recent scans. UGH, I hate the wait between the "wild-yet-informed speculation while being peppered with rumors" stage to actually knowing something about the show.

BLOOD as an organisation name gives me similar edgy vibes to the likes of Showa villain names such as G.O.D. and Black Satan. Not sure if it's in a good way yet but at the end of the day this is just a rumour

It was rumor to be lighter than build and build nowadays tone down quite a bit, so we won't see anything close to Showa, early Heisei, or amazon style. Some of these legendary forms look quite bad and sloppy like ganbarizing game form they did with many Neo Heisei rider like ghost using past riders powers except it won't be just in games or specials. Hope it won't be dragonball hero with just fan service instead of actual good storyline. Decade can't tell if it wanted original or the new alternate riders before they squeeze in Showa riders leading up to the years of bad Taisen movies.

I wouldn't say all of the time. The only times Gashapon really does unique items is usually around at wave 5 or 6 at the earliest. If I can recall correctly, earliest for Ghost was Columbus/Nightingale, both of which were in GP set 14 I think. Ex-aid didn't really do too much unique in GP until the Gashatrophies (Which were pretty similar in functionality), and so far their has been no brand new bottles for Build from the GP waves.

The only time I can recall that unique items were introduced earlier in the GP line was Drive, and that (I think) was in wave 6, with only one new shift car. So it is really unusual that half of the wave for GP 03 and 04 (quite early waves) consist of entirely unique items with no DX counterpart.

Kind of a shame really, RideWatches like Rogue, Mach and Meteor are pretty unique, whereas all of the DX stuff that we're getting seems to be just like what we've gotten with Ghost and Ex-aid. Shame that they're not really doing anything special or new with Zi-O.

Hopefully the catalog will come around soon and prove me wrong with some amazing unique features, but it's not looking too hopeful.
