I know the flame are big and all but still that's kind of more than I was hoping for when I saw they were bringing him over. Just need to remind myself those are definitely factored in.

Reminds me a lot of how Iron Man Mk. 6 is only available with a Hall of Armor piece, making him super expensive. Granted that I'd want more, but because of the price I still haven't preordered. Makes me wonder if part of the deal they finally have requires accessories like these.

Cost in the end through a middleman and shipping (since I'll be using Amazon Prime at least) would probably be about the same so I'm still going to get him, but the option for cheaper without the flames would have been nice.

Edit: Oh. Apparently I did my mental math at a pretty outdated exchange rate. At current, this really is stupidly expensive.

Exchange rate could go either way at this point and it's not out for a few months. Really comes down to which risk you're willing to take.

The Dark Knight Batman will be released in June. I’m not a huge fan of the Nolan movies but I consider getting this one, mostly because of the cape. The sooner Tamashii uses cloth capes like this more the better.

I really hope they make a new Darth Vader figure with that sort of cloth material in the future.

What is the difference between D-Arts and Figuarts?

Pretty much just the name, honestly. D-Arts was Bandai's name for a subline specifically made for video game characters, but they aren't really meaningfully distinct from the Figuarts line, to the point that D-Arts styled figures have just continued to be released under the Figuarts line ever since the D-Arts line died off. Including stuff like S. H. Figuarts ChaosDukemon, which is literally just a recolor of the D-Arts Dukemon figure.

That Cape on Batman looks so good. Hoping it feels just as good when messing around with it.

Batman does look good but I don't know if I should pick him up or not because my Mafex one isn't too bad. Hmm...

my MAFEX bats is a worthless, floppy, pile of shit that I regret ever buying, with every fiber of my being.

Yeah, I got lucky with mine I think. One shoulder likes to pop out but I don't recall there being any other major issues with it. I even got the Batpod to go with him.

I could handle it if it was just the shoulders popping out (which they do on mine), but the biggest problem is the knees, ankles, and hips just will not hold a pose, so he can't stand, can't kneel, can't do anything. :(

I pre-ordered Catwoman and the Bat-Pod, and ended up selling them as soon as I had them in hand, unopened, because I didn't want to risk another crappy figure.

I wonder why they haven't made a Batman Begins Bat yet though. Unless they chose The Dark Knight so that they could release a Joker to go with him knowing he's pretty popular. I'd totally get any other Batman figure for sure though.

The Dark Knight suit was used in both TDK and DKR, and The Dark Knight is unquestionably one of the most popular superhero films, ever. So it's also one of the best-known movie Batman costumes out there.

And yes, we're likely to get a Ledger Joker down the line as well.

Yeah, an SHF of Ledger's Joker was unveiled at the same time as TDK Bats. Wouldn't be surprised if he's out within a few months after Batman.
