Ninja Gaiden Sigma Trilogy is turning out to be the longest 3 part game I've played to date on any system.

MS owning Activision is dreadful because we don't need them to eat up more companies. At least, they will get new management considering what happen to them lately.

I never have luck finding these in stores. Most in my area get bought immediately and probably never get restocked. Its just easier to order everything online. Websites like Toyark (see the link above!) help me see when all the pre-orders go up

I tried so hard. Searched every shop in nyc in 2 days that would carry them, gamestops, comic shops, went to every Target in the 5 boroughs, nothing. I thought i could have gotten black spidey today at my local target, but they either didnt want to check the stock room and were lying or some asshole hid it. The website said they had shocker and black spidey. Almost every person there said they didn't have shocker in the back, then after 3 hrs of pleading one guy went to check and found their only one. Then i asked for black spidey, and for that they said they had none, none in the back and none on shelves, their system listed 2 on hand though, but after arguing with them for around 2 hrs, i just left with shocker after doing my shopping. Fucking tiresome. This was like my last shot at a black spidey. Thankfully has been reported that Hasbro is relasing full cases of just single characters for the retro line, similar to what they do for the mainline. So they may become easier to come by. I can confirm this as my local Target is flooded with just Fantasic Four Retro Reed Richards, and just him, like 30 of him. So since Spidey retro wave 2 is just hitting stores, we may begin to see the full cases of single characters for it very soon.

Hi friends! I had a pretty rough day at work yesterday, but got through it. Today was one of my days off, so I went and traded in a bunch of mtg cards at my lgs, and got around 200 in store credit. Still have a lot left, but probably gonna be selling those myself.

I want to watch more toku these year, but it can be pretty hard for me. Emotions from media, plus needing to sit still to read subs isnt the best combo for me since my emotions even from media can hurt, and I just dont like sitting still.

Still doing the 40k/model painting thing, and it's going okay. Haven't painted recently though. I need to finish my aggressors that arent sitting in simple green.

I was reading up on stuff for PS 4 , Xbox 1 and Switch and all 3 have loud fan issues. I had run into this as well with my 1st PS 3 so I have a 2 and 3 Slim. Hence why I hadn't bought a new gen game system lately. The systems aren't old in most cases.

How do you like the painting? Do you find it relaxing or tedious?

I know many people who paint 40k and they seem to be of two minds. Those who really enjoy the minutiae of painting, and those who are really only doing it to get it done. It doesn't help that painting 40k often means painting essentially the same models multiple times.

Feeling really anxious today. Got a bunch of homework I need to get done due tonight at midnight that I haven't had a chance to work on earlier because of work, and it's all stuff I feel like I'm struggling to understand. Adding on to that, my cat's been extremely energetic and needy the last few days, making it quite difficult to get anything done without shutting her in my room and taking my laptop out to the living room. I want to be able to work with her, figure out a way for her to accept that sometimes I can't pay attention to her, but that's easier said than done with cats. It's definitely a bit frustrating at times, I swear she's needier than my dad's dog is when I petsit

I find it frustrating. I want to enjoy it, but there's so many techniques to learn it gets a bit overwhelming, and makes me feel like I'm not growing fast enough. That plus I cant paint super fast, so I cant paint minis at the rate I want. When I do get going/in the zone it feels real nice though.

Star Trek Picard Series 2 starts up soon as does Strange New Worlds Series 1 but I plan to wait for DVD on these. Same for Discovery Series 4 currently running.

I was playing Final Fantasy III Pixel Remaster. My question is this - Why aren't there more rock style regular monster fights in RPG games even with newer game systems out there? That was beyond cool.

I was watching Tomb Raider VII Legend on You Tube for a few minutes from Play Station 3

There didn't seem to be a lot of change from the Play Station 2 release.

If that's the case why put out S.E. HD Remaster sets at all on Play Station 3 or 4?

Game observations in general -

What I've noticed with a lot of games is I feel like it's more showing off what the system can do more than the game.

Sometimes it doesn't seem like there is a game. I feel Like Sony and Microsoft are doing this a lot lately. It's more flash than game. I felt like this some with Final Fantasy XIII a little bit. Did you guys ever get that impression in general?

Also what used to take 4 levels to finish is now one massive level. This started on Play Station 2 with Tomb Raider VII Legend. And other Play Station 2 games.

They made a re-recording of Samurai Heart. It is not quite as good as the original but Moriguchi's vocals are timeless so it's all good.

It also reminds me of the worst aspects of the game, but at the very least, there's no in game chat for the extra toxicity.

General observation on Pixel Remaster Games

Final Fantasy I , II , and III got it right but it looks like Square Enix may have screwed up royal on Dragon Warrior III which is coming next.

I feel that Final Fantasy did it right and kept the NES feel of the games. This is where Dragon Warrior III falls short. However Final Fantasy VI is the wild card in all this as it was an SNES game so a backwards conversion is going to feel weird. They might get away with it for Final Fantasy IV and V.

Pixel Remaster Games should end at the last game on the NES. This is a mistake of trying to cash in on retro nostalgia again honestly.

You know, it's funny you bring this up, because I've not been in a gaming mood lately, but two days ago I popped in a cartridge for my one true gaming love, the Etrian Odyssey series. I love these games: the combat is speedy and challenging, the story makes sure to stay out of your way, and the addictiveness of doing one more dungeon dive and mapping out a little more never goes away. Pure turn-based RPG bliss! The particular game I was playing was one of the weakest Etrian games, but it was still so much more enjoyable to me than other stuff I've played lately since the games emphasize substance over style so strongly.

Well Tomb Raider is a rare case. It can be rough in spots but a good series. Tomb Raider while a challenge can still have good game play and it doesn't feel like game system hardware showing off. I've sort of gotten away from gaming mostly.

So there's a new Korean zombie series on Netflix. It's called "All of Us Are Dead." And it's basically a live action "High School of the Dead", just minus the fan service. All I have to say about this series is is that it is amazing!! The Korean zombie scene has been on a roll and it's been nothing but hit after hit in my eyes.

So, fun fact. The fan service is what made High School of the Dead literally unwatchable for me. It was one of the most unbearable anime I had ever even attempted to watch.
So if this is just that, but without the gratuitous tits and ass, I might have to give it a shot.

Yeah. All of Us Are Dead is definitely worth a shot. Lost of school drama/politics.

Oh 100%. It's even worse when it's a player like me who doesn't really care about graphics. As such, I've gravitated more towards retro and indie gaming. The last 10 games I bought were...New Pokemon Snap, Quake, Mario Party Superstars, Don't Starve, Hades, Megaman X Legacy Collection, Shin Megami Tensei V, Star Ocean First Departure R, Gone Golfing, and Aliens vs Predator 2010. I think that says a lot, lol.

Now, obviously my taste isn't the end-all be-all, and other people care about things that I don't. But man, I hate when people complain about "wow this game isn't 4k 60fps locked." Like...bro :lol what about the actual game?

I just got Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 HD and I have to admit that while the games haven't changed it's good to see them get a PS 3 release. Metal Gear Solid 2 is as I knew from PS 2.

PSP Peace Walker will be the interesting bit here to see as a full blown console game.

I plan to play more PS 1 games soon on my PS 2. Possibly Metal Gear Solid 1 as well.

On Tekken 5 there's an Arcade section where you play the first 3 Tekken Games. That was cool.

I pre-ordered some figures on amiami the other day and they don't come out until April, but I'm already going crazy waiting for them. I want them N O W :lol


I love the HD collection! The PS3 version is the Subsistence version as well, which has a better camera control scheme and comes with the original Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2.
