Hey, so I've seen very little about DekaPink and DekaYellow and I got them today (yay) so I thought I'd do a quick review of them. I'm pretty sure here's the correct place to do it, because I haven't seen anyone make threads for it, but if not, I'm happy to make a thread instead.

So, first thing's first, no Murphy (:cry), I've voiced my disappointment on this already, so I won't complain about that, but what is interesting with these figures is that they come with a significant amount more then the previous Dekaranger figuarts! The Dekawappa (hand-cuffs) are an excellent addition that really should've come with every Dekaranger. I really wasn't expecting it, so I was pleasantly surprised! Also of not is the S.P. Shooter, the small gun they used on occasion instead of their big combined gun. It's a pretty good addition and looks pretty great, so I was happy to receive it. It is interesting to note that neither the Dekawappa or the S.P. Shooter are mentioned on the box and aren't visible from the outside of the box and weren't in any promotional pictures. It's pretty bizarre, were they late additions to the figure. They also each come with a hand for either DekaBlue and DekaGreen to be used for role-call poses (with "2" and "3" fingers pointing up respectively), because their figures just had the same set of hands as DekaRed and therefore you ended up with 3 DekaRed role-call hands.

The Dekawappa are used by putting them around the ball-joints of the figure before putting on the hands. It's a bit tricky to get both hands in, but it looks pretty funny when its done. I really do think the Dekawappa were an awesome, unexpected addition.

Now, here's a complaint. One of the option hands, which has bombs between the fingers, replaces the S.P. Licence holding hand that the previous three came with. This makes the very disappointing situation where DekaPink and DekaYellow can't actually hold on to their S.P. Licence, which is really sad. I was looking forward to posing them all putting them forward.

In the end, they look pretty fantastic with the team together and I'm happy to have the core five completed. I would love Dekamaster and Dekabreak, but for now, I am content with my 5 and would like them to finish the Jetman, Zyurangers, Dairangers and the core 5 Boukengers and core 3 Hurricanegers before they release those 2. The additional accessories were a big surprise and I'm very pleased with them, while no Murphy is a disappointment and so is the lack of the S.P. Licence-holding hand, I am very happy with my purchase. I recommend them, go get them before its too late!

Now if only they'll release DekaBreak and DekaMaster. Those are the only two I desperately want.

I don't need a complete set of Deka. But I'm definitely down for a DekaMaster.

I would instantly buy a Dekabreak figure. I love that suit!

I'm not gonna settle for just Break and Master. I want them of course but I need ALL of them. That means Swan, Bright, and Gold too. It may never happen, but damn it I can dream! Hopefully my Yellow and Pink will be arriving in the next week with my other may exclusives. I need me some Nega Form :D

DekaMaster, though entirely Epic, wouldn't come with much. Would He? The Master Sword (Anyone else hear the theme to Zelda...?) and a couple extra hands, his badge. But maybe, just maybe, Master might come with Murphey. I really want that Murphey.

He should come with as many hands as he needs to. To do all of those fancy poses. And then effect parts for the D Sword Vega.

Dont get me wrong, I wasn't complaining :lol I'll get a Master even if he comes with one pair of hands, and one of them is flipping me off.

I was just trying to think of what he might come with.

I still want a Torin Figuart when they eventually release the Kyoryugers.

I still like it more than that animatronic crap they used on SPD.

I thought they both had their merits. I personally prefer the fur suits they used in Dekaranger, but the effort they went to make the characters more "alien" in SPD was very cool and suited the show much more than the Japanese costumes would have.

They could probably justify an entirely separate release for Doggie unmorphed.

And I think I'd like SPD's Doggie head more if it wasn't as scaly.

I can't see how considering the animatronic crap at least looked professional and good quality and had the sense to not have a big exposed zipper on the back of the head. Plus it could do more than just open it's mouth.

Doggie in SPD looked like genuine effort went into it and manged to look more like a dog than that mangled sock puppet from the Sentai.

Also not helping is that, for about 10-15 episodes in Dekaranger, Doggie's mouth did not come anywhere close to syncing up, if it even moved at all.

While I appreciate them trying to make the costume more functional, at the end of the day it's a big alien dog man. I don't need it to work well, just look good. And the original Dekaranger version looked great.

You see, though, that's the thing: it didn't. It looked cheap and ridiculous and not in any way convincing, and it baffles me that anyone would think it looks better than SPD Doggie.

Functionality has little to do with it. Dekaranger's looked like it was made out of foam and old cloth doodle on with markers. SPD' looked actually alien and has texture and proportion.

I'm not saying you can't like Dekaranger Doggie, but objectively saying it looked better than the SPD costume is just wrong.

Nobody brought up objectivity until you did, Split Lip. Maybe ease off the discussion of whose opinion of "better dog alien costume" is right before this ends up a needless mess?
