Well, Time Force is my favorite show, so I guess Old Saban.

Yeah, but Old-Saban had more seasons than Disney that had better plots.

What you would do if you were the owner of the franchise ?

Pure "What-if" Speculation based on a "Franchise owner if Saban suddenly announced he was selling it after the release of the upcoming movie" theory:

- Settle the disparity created by Megaforce/Super Megaforce by producing more TV Movie team-ups and backstory episodes to illustrate the history of Gosei, The Armada, and the Ranger Keys.

- Full integration of Sentai teams who were unfortunately used in Super Megaforce. "New Powers" is not going to fly, but we can't completely act as though nothing happened. We have to make peace with the flaws, and peace here comes with acceptance of their inclusion.

- New comics using screen-caps of older Sentai footage in accordance with earlier statement of Sentai integration. Age and TV ratio differences are factors in this decision.

- Use of older Sentai as "newer" PR teams offers a brilliant segue into the Western release of Pre-Zyu Sentai.

- Petition Bandai of America to create more figures based on Monsters and Villains, particularly those who never had figures at any point in time in franchise history (Klank and Orbus, Gasket and Archerina, General Havoc, Darkonda, Deviot, etc).

- New releases to compliment the upcoming Visual History Guide. Recall if you will three old Mighty Morphin' books which held both US and Sentai screen-caps and production photos (OjaruDaiOh from the Dairanger movie made his only PR appearance in the third book). Such books would be ideal to showcase a new season or even showcase the weapons, vehicles, and villains (like has been done with Star Trek and Star Wars books).

- Increase collectibles and merchandise like plush dolls, t-shirts, bedspreads, wall decor for both children and the older fan market.

All I got for now.

I would try to bring Kamen Rider back into it. At the very least, I'd try to license the spring crossover footage and have the Rider be a warrior that shows up to help the Rangers for an episode or whatever. If it could become a backdoor pilot for an ongoing Kamen Rider adaptation, then awesome.

Actually, i'd adapt as much toku as I could. Whether it'd be part of Power Rangers or not, who knows. But i'd find some way to get Rider, any newer Metal Heroes stuff, Sentai stuff we haven't seen, etc. into America.

If I were owner of the franchise...not sure I'd do a whole lot different.

-I do think I'd work with Bandai to release the Japanese DX toys as a high-end collector release. And then do a $25 6" basic version of each Megazord that still retains transformation functionality but less paint, cheaper plastic, etc.

-I'd work to air a counter-point animation that parodies Power Rangers in the same vein as "Teen Titans Go!". This is where the kids' eyeballs are these days. Focus the show on the original MMPR group, but drop in pan-universal tid-bits...everything from "Koda the Caveman"...to Dynaman rolling up on roller skates while faux-80's rock music plays in the background. Tommy can get the Dragon Dagger...and realize every time he doesn't get his way, he plays the flute and the Dragonzord shows up to destroy his "enemy" and give him what he wants.
