That said, I wonder if we are gonna get more dark riders with issues that originate from jackass dads ruining their childhoods in future Reiwa Rider shows. First it was Kuroto God and now Gai. If I am missing any let me know.

Agreed. He's probably a hypocrite as well since I doubt he's as perfect as he expects his son to be.

The important take-away for kids watching the show is that people aren't just born bad, they are conditioned to become evil.

If you connect the dots, one sees Gai is "programmed" to be an evil jerk, much in the same way AI can be programmed for bad. Neither are inherently evil.

That's an amazing observation! Learning is important for the development of both HumaGears and humans. Their accumulated experiences build their identities to the point of singularity and those experiences can be either good or bad. Like the Ark, Gai learned the wrong things from his father, which is a perfect way to show how us and AI aren't so different.

I can see that working actually! I'm quite curious what will end up happening with the movie, obviously it's been delayed due to the Covid crisis but for the last few years the summer movies have been super relevant to the series' endings. I wonder if there's been some hasty re-writes going on...
