Over on Gundam forums, someone posted a translation of the original ZZ Gundam story proposal. It's actually pretty interesting. It's sort of hard to read due to how the text is spaced and the way the grammar flows, but I recommend it to an ZZ fans.

Did Mobile Suit Gundam Origin ever get a US release?

The manga? Yeah. It was released in a really nice hardcover set. The first episode of the ova is out on dvd, but it's pricey.

I was talking about the anime? I notice the dub is on Amazon, but it looks like it's digital only. No blu-ray release.

The mobile suit is Gyunei's from Char's Counterattack. And if you have trouble remembering who he is, he was the older kid in Zeon who got sent out with Quess on the second mission to axis at the end of the movie. I wonder if it has any significance with True Detective's story?

And was originally planned to be Kamille.

Kamille joining Neo-Zeon would have been the weirdest thing to see, at least for me....

Hence why it was ultimately changed, even with the rationalization that the brain damage affected his personality (as it is known to do). But note how Gyunei still has a striking resemblance to a slightly older Kamille.

I've finally gotten the Robot Damashii God Gundam and Shining Gundam figures ordered from Amazon.com and I plan to watch all of G-Gundam. Hopefully we get some more G-Gundam figures released, really want to see how they do Dragon Gundam in robot damashii form.

Yeah, the old MSiA was kind of awful due to the fact that you couldn't bend his arms at all. I'm confident we've come far along enough that it'd no longer be as big of an issue.

Though frankly, I want Maxter.

Robot Damashii's from my limited experience with them are basically Figuarts for mecha, you guys got nothing to worry about.

G-Gundam is my favorite Gundam show ever next to the original show, Zeta Gundam (the first Gundam show that I saw subbed) and Wing. I'm just a causal fan, I still haven't seen all of them. I'm thinking about picking up Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin manga. It seems pretty good from the looks of it.

Is this a second season of G-reco? Because fuck and and my gunpla if that is happening again.

plus, look at how much they have been pushing it in terms of products, game appearances, and hell, it has two variations in Build Fighters.

I'd be absolutely shocked if it WASN'T the Crossbone.

Assuming it's the Crossbone, using the Full Cloth means they'll be adapting up to Steel 7 and not just the first manga, which means a lot of Crossbone.

Anyways, I have no real guesses or interest in guessing as to what that is.

Can we get a full Astray T.v. series while they're at it? And a Hathaway's Flash movie? And a 00P OVA series?

I've been saying this for awhile, but i think if these new universes continue to suck, Bandai should go back and adapt more existing material into series to ensure quality.

Too much Gundam in too little time, and that's not even taking in account budget. :lol

I'd like to see them do something in the style of Missing Link, have a game gathering various side stories, maybe sprinkle some anime cutscenes here and there, and it'd be extra nice if they localized it...
Yeah...

I'd be okay waiting for 10 years for all of those things to happen.

But in those ten years many more sidestories would have been released and people would then complain about them not having animated versions.

I'm all in for adaptations of side stories, but I don't think it should be the main focus.

You know, I was literally just thinking that X is one of the few Gundams that I would actually buy on DVD. If they price it like Turn A, I'll try and get it for sure.

I wish there were more Blu-rays, (particularly 00 since they just stopped seeling the DVD bozed seasons) but Gundam X release sounds cool.

Gunpla tip of the day: trim down a toothpick back saber at an angle, then paint it silver. Now you've got something that looks like a proper weapon.
