Since I'm reading the manga I figured it was time to finally start watching the original Dragonball series. I've watched the first disc (which is the first 7 episodes), but to be honest, I did not enjoy the stories in anime form as much as I did in the manga. The hilarious moments are still down right hilarious (such as Bulma accidentally flashing Roshi), but the filler Pilaf stuff seems to interrupt the flow of the episodes the appear in. There are some funny lines from Pilaf, but the stories just feel longer than needed due to them being there.

Eureka 7 episode 7

I really didn't enjoy this episode. There weren't any fights and the filler content wasn't even that entertaining. Maybe it's because I'm younger and not at the age where hazing people is a normal thing but this shit is mean-spirited.

its due to them adapting a chapter an episode now due to how cought up they were with the manga the 2 episode filler we had was to short and i still thought we need more.

For those not sure what I mean, I mean one episode per chapter, so the fights take DBZ lengths to get done. ARGH!!!! One Piece needs to pull a Fairy Tale/Attack on Titan. NO MORE DRAGGING OUT ARCS AND HAVING FILLER!!!

So is it something that is entirely new? Is it written by Oda? Or is it just a clip show?

And I agree with you they need a year break so they can let manga get head.

It's not clip show Oda had a hand in this special due to you see more then just clips from the past you see a hole story him training. And it nearly a 2 hour special

Yeah, that's the one episode that doesn't sit with me well even after multiple viewings.

Well... He had a hand in it, that's true. But to some that's not enough to call it canon. As far as I can find, he just came up with the villain.

But hey, I'm still totally going to put it up there with Strong World as "totally did happen" alongside the manga. It works.

Started both LBX & Tenkai Knights recently. Looking forward to both, more so TK because I enjoy the dialog more. But I can't wait to keep going on them.

Same here well strong world was actulky written by him and he wrote a prequal chapter as well for that film that starts before one piece and is include only with box set 2 of one piece manga

Kill la kill episode 25 ( ova special ) what great way to end the show it was great to start to finish, also heRing all music of the sound track as well was awesome.

Just finished Samurai Flamenco and I really enjoyed myself. The Show was crazy in all the right places :lol

And now I'm up todate with all 659 episode of one piece and now waiting for episode 660

I think the Kill la Kill special was only so-so. But it did answer one incredibly important question from the show's finale at least.

If you have reached this point it means you already know the deal with this franchise, chances are you already love it (otherwise why stick through 5 seasons?) and Hanamonogatari delivers more of what you expect.
It's a solid arc and follows the nature of the Second Season ones by having the character help itself overcome it's past, it's not the best arc ever, but it is enjoyable, solid and was worth the wait.


If it exists, it'll get referenced. .lol

Watched the Kill la Kill OVA last night and really enjoyed it. The set-up was a bit cliche, but it did address the one lingering issue from the show and didn't cop out by resurrecting Senketsu. Plus it was an absolutely brilliant end to Satsuki's character development.

Satsuki is just the best.

So after everyone talking so much about Madoka lately, I finally decided to give it a try and watched the whole show since yesterday and... I'm not impressed. Not at all. It all sounded kinda cool but... I guess that show just isn't for me.
The art style was terrible, it felt so unpersonal and sloppy, I just couldn't get into it. The story is kinda cool concept-wise, but it didn't really affect me except for a few moments near the end and the characters seemed pretty generic, I guess I would have cared more for them if there had been more time to actually flesh them out (and maybe it would have helped if their faces had some more personality). The whole thing was just too fast pacing-wise for me to get into it.

I won't say it's a bad show or something because it sure is pretty good, but... it's just not my cup of tea.

After we talked a little bit yesterday I think the thing with that was that there wasnt enough for you to latch onto the character to begin with. In the context of the story we learned more than enough to "care" about them and to see why they do the things they do to advance the story. The thing though is when you dont like the archetypes the characters are representing its hard to get invested into them.

Thats the problem (?) with shows that are that short. You only get the informations you need to know so you can follow the story you are presented. Stuff like Sayakas home life or the life before the show is information that is irrelevant to the story the show wants to tell which is why its hard to get an understanding for a certain characters actions and motivations.

God, that slap was necessary to shut that kid up. I felt so relieved for 15 seconds until they started crying again.

And then the episode got weird, when Renton, Eureka run into the rest of Gekko trying to capture the lady.

Apparently this lady might have something to do with that super powered white haired guy?

When did this show get ridiculous as hell? You guys were pretty grounded in reality but i noticed that this episode has cardfights where they literally just throw they're cards at each other and it does damage. :lol

Finally got around to the first episode of Baka and Test.

first two episode of Hanayamata. If you like Love Live and K On! This a show for you instead of singing it's more based on japanese culture dancing called Yosaki.

Typical generic cute girl anime with all loveable characters that you'll love and enjoy through out the show.

It has that same cute and heart warming feeling like K On!, and that great character development like Love Live.

Yea I been loving this show so far and it's one of my fave shows in the past month

Finished Nekomonogatari (Kuro). It was a nice little show and tell of what happened during Golden week with Hanekawa. Warming up Monogatari: second season to watch next.

It is gonna be a wild ride.

Finished Season 1 of Dragnball. Ick, even this show takes damn near forever to get through somethng.

Dragon Ball kicks off when the Tenkachi Budokai starts in my opinion.

I watched the first two eps of Love Live, I'm not very knowledgeable about idols anime so no clue how it compares to other shows, but I like the fact that there is a sense of struggle to it, from having to workout to the group having to be approved.
It's a nice touch.

While Monogatari: Second season is still warming up, I'll watch Persona 4: the animation even though I've never played any of the games. :lol

Like others have said the games are actually better I have yet to finish P4 Golden, but man it has convinced me to not watch the animes, expect for Persona 3 the movies because those are amazing.

It's newcomer friendly.
