To me, a mega evolution should (at least) be an extension of itself and/or it's past evolutions.

What about Primal Groudon/Kyogre?

Technically speaking those aren't mega evos so they can't exactly be extensions of the base Pokemon.

They're also just different colored versions of their base forms except with some added emphasis on aspects of the originals' designs.

Those are Primal Reversions, not Mega Evolutions

So what's a good moveset for ninetails? I finished super training my Paula so i'm gonna level it up before evolving.

Followup question, what's a good stat for Shroomish? I'm assuming attack considering Breloom is fighting type.

Flamethrower/Fire Blast(Depends on if you want to be accurate or powerful)
Solarbeam
Nasty Plot/Hypnosis
Hidden Power Ice/Psyshock/Dark Pulse

For Ninetales:
-Solarbeam (if it has Drought)/ Energy Ball (if it doesn't)
-Fire Blast/Flamethrower
-Will-O-Wisp/Psyshock
-Nasty Plot
