Yeah, whatever the hell comes next, let it actually be a fucking challenge. The last few have been laughably easy. I know the target demographic is children and it might not be for them (though I'd argue as well they don't need their hands held the whole way), but then let it be optional from the start and not requiring you to erase your save to access.

Maybe it's because I skipped FR/LG that I wouldn't mind a remake again, but it would have to be more than just updated graphics again to be worth it really.

Thanks to ORAS delta episode clearing up the time line per say stating the original RSE is another time line would not mind the doing remakes set in mega stone time line where all region have stone

I'd buy a Red/Green remake, but I wouldn't be all that excited for it.

A Red/Green SEQUEL however I would lose my mind over, providing they did it right.

Sequel as in Black 2 / White 2.

I don't see how that would work because of Gold/Silver though. We know what happened next because of them. There's no story to tell because it has been.

Well the eruption that destroyed Cinnabar Island is one thing. Or some backstory to Koga giving up his gym. Or why Red decided to go and be a mountain hermit. Or they could just y'know, set the game AFTER Gold and Silver.

You say there's no story to tell, but Gold and Silver's Kanto HAS no story. It's a hollow afterthought of a region that people just fawn over because of the novelty of two regions being in one game.

I would only like another Kanto game if the following stuff can happen.

-Updated PokeDex
-New towns/cities/routes
-An actual story
-Johto Region in the post game
-If the above happens, no screwed up levels
-Megas for Blastoise and Venusaur to even out the trio with 2 Megas each

Hollow story or not*, Gold/Silver still is a sequel to Red/Green just as much as B2/W2 were. That one exists is all I was saying. A simple response, not meant to say you had no merit at all.

You didn't say set them after Gold/Silver, but after Red/Green. That's a different thing and I could actually get excited for that, since it would be all new.

*I would argue not, because we still know what eventually happened. The small details are missing, but we know where everyone ends up following the original games. So we'd be playing an entirely predictable game. I, for one, would not find playing just for the minutia to be particularly interesting. Plus I was thinking bigger picture with Team Rocket (since when it comes down to it, the game stories are all about the struggle with their given crime syndicates).
