Yeah, Puzzle Fighter looks better than in the preview

So M becomes its own thing and Emu is the only one to stop him. That would be nice actually. For now the most likely scenario is Parad pulling a Gremlin on the narrative but I think that would be awesome. Titular rider vs himself.


And Para-DX lvl 99 looks dope.

I'm digging the M as Chronos idea. So M and Emu separate and the HUMAN aspect becomes the new villain because he's such a HG (Hardcore Gamer). And the BUGSTER aspect becomes/remains the hero. This is an excellent idea. And it would an excellent twist.

I like the idea of Emu feeling so helpless and broken after losing so many people to this TATAKAE that HE becomes Chronos, hoping to use the time powers it provides so that he can save everyone, and M is actually the one who needs to step up as the true hero, grow as a person from the things he's learned from Emu in the past, and save his other half from going too far.

So maybe this is just me but I've actually been assuming for a while now that whatever form of the Bugster virus is in Emu isn't literally either half of his personality so much as it just brings out those aspects of him depending on whether he's transformed or not. Nothing about the way they talk about his condition in the show has actively shot down that idea so far (if anything it's leaning towards it) and the longer the show goes on the less and less likely it looks for it to have such a major change in the protagonist's whole concept late in the game.

And if they did I still maintain that saying any part of Emu isn't Emu would essentially be throwing his character in the trash just for the sake of a shock value twist. Which also kind of sounds like something this show would do, but I like to think its writing has grown past that.

Maybe Chronos is some sort of Odin deal? A super powerful lackey Parad sicks on people he wants beat up rather than an actual character? Possibly made from data about Ex-Aid (and/or Genm), hence the outfit and pose? Or something?

I just hope it's pretty much anything other than M. That's an idea I've never been behind and the show would have to do something REALLY interesting with the execution to convince me otherwise.

Ok so I don't know if my memory is playing some crazy mind games on me or something, but I think they changed Graphite's picture on the cast page today? I'm pretty sure I don't remember it being this one, but I may just be imagining things. Not sure if that's anything anyone else pays attention to but. Whatever. edit: no, wait, yes. Now I'm certain of it. I'm 100 percent sure the old picture was this one. So there actually would be reason to replace it, since he's not wearing his real clothes.

Anyway, if I'm not crazy, the fact that they changed it could...mean something? Like, I don't see why they'd bother updating a picture if Graphite wasn't going to be sticking around for at least a little while. I...don't know why they would anyway since he doesn't look different, but *shrugs.*

Emu and M could still be separate beings without taking away from Emu's character because for all we know the Bugster inside, he could just be taking on some of his personality traits and exaggerating them since it might not of had a personality of its own. We know the Bugsters get the personalities and powers from game characters that they are based on but M wasn't based on a complete game so it could stand to reason that M might need to fill in the blanks with Emu's personality traits so to make itself a "whole". Granted a lot of this is fanwankery based on conjecture so who knows. I just wanted to point out that there is a way for Emu and M to be separate beings without taking away from Emu's character though I do understand your worries.

Can I just say I adore Parad-DX LV 99's puzzle design on that undersuit, that rings all the right bells with me.

That being said considering how basic these Civilian Rider Suits are, and how in one of the preview images we see one wielding the Gashacon Sparrow...

...Something tells me that a lot of the old Level Up Gashats are going to get stolen from time to time to be used as armor enhancements for the civilian riders. If only to make their fights possibly more interesting in that regard.
