So I've been playing the Gen 4 games recently (specifically Diamond & Pearl) and man I forgot how slow these games are. It's something you gotta get use to when playing these games (especially when you're so use to Gen 5 and 6 which are so much faster.)

After getting use to the slowness, I gotta say I'm having a blast with these games. I feel really immersed into the games, unlike say X and Y. I only have 2 badges at this point, but I've already synced a lot of time into them, from battling, catching Pokémon, Contests, and just exploring the Region.

I just like to pretend that Diamond and Pearl never existed. Platinum is the only Sinnoh game to me because it fixed all of DP's problems.

I actually felt DP was the best because it paced itself.
It made the events of the games feel significant because it built up it's adventure with a more proper story, rather than having a 2 hour text dump. *Looks to ORAS*

It's why I hold Gen 4 as my favorite generation. It was the first game since the originals that made me feel like I was on an adventure again :lol
(XY did achieve that, too, but it was over far too quickly)

FYI, I'm getting real sick of other players asking if I have Hoopa when I clearly don't and I'm wanting it myself.

Gen 4 is overall a pretty good gen in my book, i like the Pokemon, the lore was interesting and the region was cool.
The problems with Gen 4 are that the game is too slow in pretty much everything you do, thankfully Platinum fixed a lot of these issues.
Basically i don't like DP as games.

And if you don't get Fennekin, what will you do?
Oh, why bother asking? You all are weak willed with a finger on the power button for the moment you get the test results. You'll just soft reset time and time again.

I didn't feel DP were slow, but I also felt XY was done before it even started, so I dunno.

I'd keep Chikorita. Chikorita is adorable.
