That is, unless you follow the evolution theory in that the Pichu in Melee evolved into the Pikachu in Brawl/Smash 4 :p

And you could sum up the people who argue he should be in the game in just an idiotic way. "HURRR, MUH RIDLEY!"

His size was never really the problem, that doesn't mean he would automatically work. Nintendo know people have been requesting Ridley heavily for years. If he wasn't included in Brawl or WiiU/3DS, the ballot, which isn't based on popularity, probably isn't going to change anything. They already told us he was considered and deemed unsuitable.

I can understand the frustration, but the people constantly calling for him to be in are just as annoying as the people rampantly shouting about why he shouldn't be.

Geno is a third party character. If they're going to go with a Square character, I think we can all agree it's going to be someone more well known.

The biggest problem with these lists is that they're all based on an extreme minority from a specific group in the English fandom. They're fun to look at, just don't put too much weight behind them.
