He's got the upper torso articulation and the knee-cap knees. The slight skirt covers the hips though so it's hard to confirm that but I can't imagine them going back to the old style hips after how good the new one is.

That face is indeed awful. Realistic human faces aren't Figuarts' strong point, but DC is so hellbent on being grimdark it doesn't leave them much wiggle room.

True, but it's hit or miss most of the time, that's what's so disappointing about this. Sometimes they are up there with stuff like Hot Toys even, but then there are cases like these where you can only ask yourself who thought releasing this to the public was a good idea.

Oh boy that...that Wonder Woman still looks rough. I'm not so concerned with the actual detail of the face, I know the digital printing process looks far worse on camera than in person.

No the problem I think with the figure is the amount of space on and around the face. To accommodate the swap-able expressions they clearly pulled back a lot of hair which creates this unnatural looking issue of it having an aversion to her disproportionately large face. They seem to have tried mitigating this by having one side swoop forward, but it really doesn't work and it's still too far off. It also means you can see the face doesn't slim down much on the sides before the ears (or lack there of) like an actual humans does.

What I don't understand is why they just didn't make a separate hair piece to go over the face like they did with the senshi. Far more detailed hair obviously, but that would have fixed the issue by looking more natural along the sides and more believably covering up the face size and lack of ears, especially on the left hand side where the hair is blowing outwards.

I probably would get Aquaman and Superman if I had the cash.

Got a bunch of new SHFs in today.

Jack Sparrow is a nice start to the Kingdom Hearts SHF collection lol. Really nothing to complain about on him - he comes with a lot (though maybe a pistol would have been nice too) and I like him. Bought him on a whim but I'm satisfied.

Meowth is pretty darn cool! I'd actually be kind of okay with getting more trainer releases if it meant getting a good number of semi-articulated smaller Pokemon with them. The Team Rocket accessories he comes with are alright I guess. Didn't realize before that they don't have face for looking forward, so you pretty much have to have them blasting off or perpetually looking to the side. Kinda lame.

Ash & Pikachu are nice enough. Hell, Pikachu can lift its head higher than the larger sized one (which... can't at all and is dumb), so it's a winner in my book just for that. I do like that you can get him on Ash's shoulder. How they did Ash's hat and hair (his bangs are removable!) is well done. His hand options are just so limited though.

R2-D2 and C-3PO make a lovely pair. I totally get the fear of snapping something now when handling Threepio, but it's not like I'd really want to do anything super dynamic with him anyway. But Artoo... Oh man, Artoo! He has 3 spring activated gimmicks and it's awesome! It makes for an SHF that's fun to play with which is pretty cool.

Oh man how did I miss until now that Mickey was announced as the next Kingdom Hearts?! Queued up for a January release.

His price seems about right. Figuart prices have really skyrocketed in the last 18 months, so this is pretty low. Of course, I still need to get SS Vegeta, Nappa, original Vegeta 2.0, and whomever else has come out since Whis that isn't a battle damaged version or repaint.

That's not true at all. A basic figure like Beerus was 5400¥ last March, the Xenoverse figures this April were 4860¥ each and the new Vegeta from this July costs 5616¥.

And if I look back like 3 years when I started collecting figures cost like 10 bucks more now which is fair considering how much they improved.

I don't see what has "skyrocketed" here. Maybe you're talking about western movie lines and stuff but I assume those are more expensive because of techniques used to realize them and because of the licensing deal not being as favorable for them.

Now that I look at this way, Kid Goku has the price of a regular Dragonball Figuart, and they probably choose that price on purpose and tried to make it worth it by including more accesories.

Oh, the cloud is called "Kinto-Un" in Japan, didn't know that. I assumed that since most names are the same as the Japanese ones in the German translations that would go for this instance as well, the flying nimbus is called "Jindujun" in Germany. Probably a more literal translation or something.

If he actually comes with all those accessories than yes, he's definitely fairly priced. Hopefully more pictures come out soon to confirm it.

Yeah, but THe DBZ Figuarts were in the $38 range 2 years ago. Now they are in the $50+ range.

Kamen Riders were also less than $40 but now they are $60. Hell, look at the Ultraman line. Ultraman (not anniversary one) and Baltan last year when they came out were like $45-50. Ultra Seven was $55, Metron was $60, and King Joe was $75. That is more than I paid for my Ultraman with the buildings and King Joe didn't include a single accessory. The least they could have done was given him an alternate gun arm from Ginga.

Shinkocchou Seihou is, of course, more expensive, but the mainline Rider Figuarts have gone through a similar price change as the Dragonball stuff.

Metron is literally the same price as Ultraseven, 5940¥. And Ultraseven is only like 3 bucks more than Ultraman who was priced at 5616¥.

Gomora has alternate hands, a removable horn that can be replaced by a gash, a blown off tail piece, a tail that has nice tight joints, and has multiple shades and colors on him. The 54 Godzilla is all grey. Even his teeth and claws are grey.

They did release them. They are releasing the new Shin Ichigo figuart from what I've seen on their Facebook page.

And Jiraiya... As a web exclusive at 8100 yen. Holy shit what could possibly make him that much?! As I've become accustomed to for those releases, I'll wait for Bluefin, so not worried about the exclusivity, but wow that price is so steep and I just can't see why.
