http://i.imgur.com/dGtlWFX.jpg He's got the upper torso articulation and the knee-cap knees. The slight skirt covers the hips though so it's hard to confirm that but I can't imagine them going back to the old style hips after how good the new one is. |
Super Sailor Jupiter is on display. Curious, since they did Venus before her last time around... Mind you, I'm not complaining.
|
Justice Leauge will be getting Figuarts too:
http://www.taghobby.com/wp-content/u...2017/07/C3.jpg http://www.taghobby.com/wp-content/u...2017/07/C4.jpg I really hope they give Wonder woman another pass because that just looks rough... |
Yeah I can't tell if it's the lighting or the face itself, but Diana looks all sorts of messed up.
On the plus side though, Akuma and R.Mika look nice. |
Hmm seems the Street Fighter figures will be released 2 at a time one male and one female character.
I'm okay with this. And Akuma having his classic look gives me hope that'll they'll branch out past SFV and we'll get SF2 and Alpha characters. |

Oh boy that...that Wonder Woman still looks rough. I'm not so concerned with the actual detail of the face, I know the digital printing process looks far worse on camera than in person.
No the problem I think with the figure is the amount of space on and around the face. To accommodate the swap-able expressions they clearly pulled back a lot of hair which creates this unnatural looking issue of it having an aversion to her disproportionately large face. They seem to have tried mitigating this by having one side swoop forward, but it really doesn't work and it's still too far off. It also means you can see the face doesn't slim down much on the sides before the ears (or lack there of) like an actual humans does. What I don't understand is why they just didn't make a separate hair piece to go over the face like they did with the senshi. Far more detailed hair obviously, but that would have fixed the issue by looking more natural along the sides and more believably covering up the face size and lack of ears, especially on the left hand side where the hair is blowing outwards. |
I probably would get Aquaman and Superman if I had the cash.

I wish they would give him (and Jaco) a release date already.

Got a bunch of new SHFs in today.
Jack Sparrow is a nice start to the Kingdom Hearts SHF collection lol. Really nothing to complain about on him - he comes with a lot (though maybe a pistol would have been nice too) and I like him. Bought him on a whim but I'm satisfied. Meowth is pretty darn cool! I'd actually be kind of okay with getting more trainer releases if it meant getting a good number of semi-articulated smaller Pokemon with them. The Team Rocket accessories he comes with are alright I guess. Didn't realize before that they don't have face for looking forward, so you pretty much have to have them blasting off or perpetually looking to the side. Kinda lame. Ash & Pikachu are nice enough. Hell, Pikachu can lift its head higher than the larger sized one (which... can't at all and is dumb), so it's a winner in my book just for that. I do like that you can get him on Ash's shoulder. How they did Ash's hat and hair (his bangs are removable!) is well done. His hand options are just so limited though. R2-D2 and C-3PO make a lovely pair. I totally get the fear of snapping something now when handling Threepio, but it's not like I'd really want to do anything super dynamic with him anyway. But Artoo... Oh man, Artoo! He has 3 spring activated gimmicks and it's awesome! It makes for an SHF that's fun to play with which is pretty cool. |
Oh man how did I miss until now that Mickey was announced as the next Kingdom Hearts?! Queued up for a January release.

Spider-Man Homemade suit is available for pre-order now: https://www.nippon-yasan.com/figures...d-edition.html
Also the 2 Pack which includes Homemade suit Spidey and Iron Man Mark 47: https://www.nippon-yasan.com/figures...d-edition.html December release for both and doesn't seem like Iron Man will be available separately. Also Homecoming Spider-Man looks to have been released and reviews are starting to pop up, Hacchaka's: http://blog.livedoor.jp/hacchaka/archives/52009896.html Also a couple Facebook ones: https://www.facebook.com/pg/LittleTo...91350034605984 https://www.facebook.com/pg/jomudyea...72998486389798 |
Apparently, Kid Goku comes out in January 2018.
http://www.taghobby.com/archives/204083 Price is quite high for a small figure so I hope that means Jindujun and Korin are included, plus a few extra accessories. Anyways, I passed on many Dragonball SHF's but I don't think I can skip this. |
Wow yeah that price is high :/ I really hope 2017 isn't going to see a markup on prices.
Anyway I said I'd get him and I still want to, but I know Jugglus is out that month as well so he'll take priority funds-wise. I'll grab Goku if I can swing it. |
Shenron and Kid Goku are going to be the only Dragon Ball Figuarts I'd need to buy ASAP.

http://i.imgur.com/xIlMYmH.jpg I am aware that there is a paperweight of Yamcha in that pose but it will make it better with a figuarts. |

It is about time. Now if they can get Boo and Jaco out already!! His price seems about right. Figuart prices have really skyrocketed in the last 18 months, so this is pretty low. Of course, I still need to get SS Vegeta, Nappa, original Vegeta 2.0, and whomever else has come out since Whis that isn't a battle damaged version or repaint. Plus, Goku comes with Kinto-Un and Korin. |
Quote:
And if I look back like 3 years when I started collecting figures cost like 10 bucks more now which is fair considering how much they improved. I don't see what has "skyrocketed" here. Maybe you're talking about western movie lines and stuff but I assume those are more expensive because of techniques used to realize them and because of the licensing deal not being as favorable for them. Now that I look at this way, Kid Goku has the price of a regular Dragonball Figuart, and they probably choose that price on purpose and tried to make it worth it by including more accesories. Quote:

If he actually comes with all those accessories than yes, he's definitely fairly priced. Hopefully more pictures come out soon to confirm it.

Kamen Riders were also less than $40 but now they are $60. Hell, look at the Ultraman line. Ultraman (not anniversary one) and Baltan last year when they came out were like $45-50. Ultra Seven was $55, Metron was $60, and King Joe was $75. That is more than I paid for my Ultraman with the buildings and King Joe didn't include a single accessory. The least they could have done was given him an alternate gun arm from Ginga. Gomora is the only one who I felt was priced right. It's not just Figuarts though, even MonsterArts are overpriced. I've yet to buy the GMK and 54 Godzillas because they are each $20 too much. 54 should be $45 and GMK should be $55 at the most as neither come with any accessories. |

The figures with the older bodies at that time were like 4500¥, that's a difference in about 10 bucks. I have no idea where you shop and what you paid, but I'm talking about Tamashii's prices here, which is the only thing you could criticise them for, changing currency rates or markups by Bluefin are not their fault. Quote:
Shinkocchou Seihou is, of course, more expensive, but the mainline Rider Figuarts have gone through a similar price change as the Dragonball stuff. Kamen Rider Gaim was 4104¥, Ex-Aid is 5184¥. About 10 bucks more in 3 years. Quote:
King Joe is more expensive due to more plastic being used I assume. Quote:
|
Well you have me on the Kamen Rider "main line" then. When was the last time Bluefin released a Kamen Rider Figuart? They never did anything from Gaim, Ghost, Drive, or Ex-Aid.
Did they even release the new versions of Skull, Accel, and Hardboiler? Quote:
|
They did release them. They are releasing the new Shin Ichigo figuart from what I've seen on their Facebook page.

The question about Skull and gang was for the SS one. |
New Figure Oh scans have a few non-toku Figuarts I'm interested in. Like I mentioned before, Mickey's confirmed for a January release, 4536 yen, looks pretty good.
And Jiraiya... As a web exclusive at 8100 yen. Holy shit what could possibly make him that much?! As I've become accustomed to for those releases, I'll wait for Bluefin, so not worried about the exclusivity, but wow that price is so steep and I just can't see why. |

Goku's a regular release, but at least based on these images it looks like he only comes with the Nimbus, no Korin. |

Thanks for sharing! |
Goku is really the only Figuarts I want that month, and even then I'm not too worried about him. I'm sure Blufin's gonna import him over like they've been doing with the other Dragon Ball stuff.
|
Yeah, Goku and MechaG will be preordered as soon as Bluefin puts them up on Amazon.
|
Dunno how many Macross fans are still among us here but Figuarts Sheryl Nome is FINALLY getting released in January.
Sorry Goku, looks like you'll have to wait :D |
I didn't even know there were Macross Figuarts. Have they done any of the classic characters like Hikaru, Roy, Misa, etc?
|
Just got our first Last Jedi announcements.
Three different Stormtroopers (ugh) and... a new Phasma? Want to know what's different about her. Only problem I had with the first was her height. Edit: OH! SHIT! And Rey! And a new Kylo. Only saw a single image before, didn't realize how many there were. It's a lot. All on the official site. |
