Venusaur was actually a last minute choice. I was about to go into the battle with Mawhile until I decided that Venusaur would be more fun :p

Yeah. Though you should've used Bug Buzz against Kannemeyeria. Mega Venusaur's ability is Thick Fat, which halves Fire damage.
