I like what the PV is showing off. Seems to have a bit of a militia versus an army feel to it. The music they played is fantastic too. Loving the look of the heroes with that uniform. Plus...I just love the new Gundam. It's an awesome mix of Gunda, Eva, and SIC.

I don't think it'll be that literal, just that the current regime is boviously led by adults while the resistance is younger, something like that.

Man the soundtrack for this series is gonna be amazing, I'm absolutely in love with the trailer theme song.

Looks kind of generic to me thus far, but there isn't much to go in that video. The Gundam Barbatos itself is a very odd design that I'm unsure of until I see it in motion. But I'm always hopeful for a new project. But I was hopeful for Reconguista before it started too. And we all know how that show turned out :(

It honestly reminded me of a lot of the music in Hibiki, which is a great way to get my interest.

Hopefully this is good, because Gundam's reputation has not been good with the public since 00 (season 1 if you want to be specific) so they can't have another bad show.

Potential storyline of the group growing out of touch with each other as one member gets older maybe?

I'm not liking the design of the Barbatos. At all. It's way... way... WAY too exposed.

Considering it can parts jack off of other, we don't know what the episode to episode or the final version of Barbatos could look like.

They've done modular mobile suits before.

They at least had a respectable amount of armor in critical areas and didn't have their entire freaking back exposed and waiting for a lucky shot from a 12 gauge to disable or destroy the damned thing.

In other words...

the fact that the damn thing is gonna be moving around and will probably have those parts covered by the end of the series, I really don't think it's an issue.

let them be creative and dumb. I love the look of it because it looks like it would be a bad guy gundam but it's the good guy one instead.

If I'm going to invest time in watching something, I need to like the story and actually find whatever I'm seeing in action to be somewhat aesthetically pleasing.

The show seems to hit ONE of those points right now. I'm not optimistic about it hitting the latter point. It looks like they allotted themselves a budget for armor and spent it piling it up on the limbs and head and then figured "Hey, no one's going to aim for center of mass from behind!". Unless that thing's made of some super-high tolerance material, a glancing shot from a beam rifle is going to MELT its hydraulics. I have no problem with giant robot designs as long as they're somewhat practical, particularly in a Gundam series.

well, seeing as the grunt suits have the same thing going on with the waist, it's probably something you're gonna have to get used to.

again, I don't think it's a problem if the mobile suits are constantly moving in general.

Which is an issue when it comes to the reason Gundam exists in the first place: To sell model kits.

Pretty sure you can't really constantly have those moving.

I don't see how this is worse than an Armored Core robot or an Eva.

yeah but you buy model kits to build and pose.

To quote McDonalds, "I'm lovin it!". G-tekketsu,depending on the acting, seems like it's going to be a fun series. I love when they go militaristic, but semi believable. Like, they don't have a mech production that pumps out thousands of mobile suits, just one Gundam with some help from mobile armor.

Looks pretty good, but my biggest concern is the production staff.

The writer and director were both behind AnoHana and Toradora (among other things), which were great shows (especially AnoHana) but not really a good comparison point to gauge the quality of a Gundam show.

The director also has Idolmaster: Xenoglossia to his name, which is one of the worst mecha shows I've ever come across.

Ah well, can't be any worse than G-(Train W)Reco.

The only thing I'm concerned about is in the video, the mech battles seemed to involve a lot of side strafing/circling. lol

as high action ground battles should.

In much the same way I hated the villain and grunt suits in Reconguista for overly done designs, I can't really stand Tekketsu's bland as hell designs. I feel like Gundam has been entirely unable to find a balance for antagonist suit designs dating back to OO. Everything's either too far out there or incredibly plain. The last grunt unit I really really liked was the Flag from 00.

Huh, the teaser image had me believing this was gonna be some super creative Gundam design, but it's really not. It's very generic, over-detailed, super-angular stuff we've seen before with Exia and stuff. And the show itself looks like just another generic war drama.

Dissapointed. :(

well, considering the last gundam that tried to be super unique and creative in designs bombed so hard that the creator felt the need to apologize, I don't mind them playing it safe with the designs.

The grunt suits are the only things actually looking good so far.
