Filming pics show a new monster. I'll just put up a link to the Mirror article instead of the image as not to spoil for those folks staying pure.

I always laugh when people say x doctor is old and y doctor is young. Just look at their ages.
Matt Smith is indeed young, but not that much younger than Peter Davidson when he started. As for Tennant, well, the man was in his fourties when he was doing it. Seriously. No older than a few other doctors we've seen in the past 50 years. He's just got that baby face :lol. He's only surpassed in age I believe by Bill Hartnel and Peter Capaldi... possibly Eccelston but I think even he's younger. The role of the Doctor is all about the energy. An older actor can easily seem one of the youngest. I don't think it's too unfair to say that Peter Capaldi is somewhat weathered for his age... but then again that's just the way it goes. He does look pretty bloodshot in some of those picture though O_o |

Still, moral of the story is some Doctor actors aren't always as young or old as you think they are. |
My comment was mainly in jest anyway, Matt Smith may have been young but as an actor he was excellent at being a convincing 1400 year old man.
