I, who is not a writer, let alone a genius writer, even provided several similar examples with the aim of showing that this type of writing is not hard to do, let alone sufficient to be labeled as "genius". I can call myself a genius too, but reality says otherwise. It's not about using whatever words I like. It's about the agreement between the meaning of a word and the reality.

What was wrong with my use of the word "filler"? I merely pointed out the fact that several people (me excluded) in other forums insisted that KR Legend would only appear in episodes 32-33, thus making those episodes filler crossover episodes that can be safely disregarded without breaking the narrative structure of Gotchard's story as a whole. So, it's not my idea nor expectation. It's their idea and their expectation, and I was just conveying it. Me saying "Let's hope that this Legend "arc" is just a filler 2-parter that began in episode 32 and ends in episode 33" was my admission that I could've been wrong. I myself don't think of these episodes as fillers, because several important reveals have happened there.

I'm only a casual anime fan, so I'm not familiar with the meaning of the word "filler" in that fandom. As far as I know, episodes like 28-31 are called fillers too, because there weren't many things happening in those episodes. Chill episodes like these are common in this franchise. Crossover episodes that promote the sister franchises or the latest film are called filler episodes too in this franchise.

I concur. As I've explained above, I myself don't view episodes 32-33 as fillers. Crossover episodes (with the concurring Super Sentai series or the new KR series) are usually non-canon stories that don't feature important reveals nor plot developments, only basic stories which often make no logical sense within the continuity of the whole story of the individual series.

Episodes 32-33 (and very likely also the next several episodes of the Legend "arc"), however, feature several important reveals/plot developments, such as Gigist's appearance and Clotho's upgraded form. If these episodes and the next several episodes of the Legend "arc" are to be disregarded as merely non-canon crossover episodes, then the several important reveals/plot developments should be disregarded too, which will break the story. My point was a refutation to the point made by several people in other forums who insisted that KR Legend's appearance will make no impact to the main storyline, whether positive or negative. After the broadcast of today's episode, those people are proven to be quite wrong.

I have no problem with fanfics nor crossovers. I even dearly miss the mundane, fun, random net movies of the past, so I only have my love for them. What I have problem with is not fanfics nor crossovers nor random fun contents, but when a crossover story "infect" the main story, like what's probably happening with Gotchard right now. Like I previously stated: Let regular stories be regular stories, let crossover stories be crossover stories. Let non-canon stories be just non-canon stories. Never mix them up or interchange one with another, or you risk confusing your audience. If your audience are confused by your messy canon, then they will gradually abandon your franchise. If your audience are subconsciously tuning out because they're confused by your stories, then it's a very bad sign.

People, especially today's people, have many things to allocate their brains' processing power to, and entertainment is usually the lowest one in their priority list. People only want to be entertained, not be given a confusing homework of connecting the dots between several unconnectible stories.

I concur. I think it's very possible that the producers have planned for this drastic change in storyline (from a story about alchemy to a story about invaders from parallel world) since the pre-production phase. If it's true, then it's even worse than a sudden, unplanned change of course.

Be careful. Not all ideas are equal. Some are right, some are wrong, some are not even wrong. Some are doable, while some others are the equivalent of making Jesus born before Pontius Pilate. Some are possible, while some others are just plain impossible. Be careful not to waste time on something impossible, wrong, or not even wrong.

Maybe there's an uber-genius writer who only exists once in the whole history of humanity that can turn crossover stories like KR Decade/KR Zi-O/KR Outsiders into a great, sensical story with consistent internal logic and zero plot holes, but so far all signs point that that person is definitely not Yuuya Takahashi nor the other writers from KR Outsiders, haha. I can only wait until this uber-mensch of a writer arrives. Until then, please keep regular stories separated from crossover stories.

That's Koichi Sakamoto for you, love him or hate him, despite his flaws and quirks the dude knows how to make a fun form-swap festival. He even did one for Gotchard too even if it wasn't that extensive. But hey he pulled out the best form that I'm surprised they never used earlier, Fire Gotchard Antwrestler. That highspeed closeline he pulled out was sick.

And that's not going onto the fact that for the Zein cameo, Koichi decided to show up to the ADR studio with Super-1 footage on hand to give Zein's VA so he could get the intonation of the finisher call out correctly.

There was a lot of passion this past episode. And to think, with all the stuff we were shown in scans, we've somehow ran through 85% of via this past episode and this coming week's episode. So May has plenty of surprises left.

Real talk I would not mind if they retooled and repainted the Kamen Rider Poppy suit to fit the show's asthetics and call it Kamen Rider Atropos.

Also 4 Main Riders (Gotchard, Majade, Valvarad, Dread) + 3 Occasional Riders (Legend, Gotchard Daybreak, and Wind) isn't really that bad when compared to the shows prior.
