It's important to just keep at it. My photos from 2 years ago look like garbage, you just gotta keep taking photos and you will improve, yours certainly show improvement. At some point though, it does require spending money on some lighting equipment and other gear if you want to do certain styles of photography.

My photo quality shot up quite a bit just by getting a decent camera. Granted I have nowhere near the proper equipment for GOOD shots, but still.

Meanwhile I sit here in shitty phone camera land :lol

I've been there too. The tunnel out is long, arduous, and often expensive if you don't dig at just the right time of year.

I should really invest in something better than my iPhone, but all the money keeps going on more figures instead :lol

Oh my god, I feel really motivated into getting back into doing proper photos again after seeing kuroneko's stuff holy cow, I didn't know he was responsible for those rider cape photos. Also goddamn that kiva, wizard pic is STUNNING!

I know, right? It's making me want to add the PBM Wizard to my want list, even though I don't collect 1/6 figures at all (except Kiva, someday).

I know how you feel, I always feel inadequate when looking at all these amazing figure photographers online and then kind of get into a slump. Honestly, the best thing to do is just try to ignore all that and just have fun taking pictures. It shouldn't matter what other people think, just as long as you are having fun doing it.

One thing that helps if you feel lost is just have a goal. What exactly do you want to do/learn and go about it like that. I wanted to learn how to do the black background thing so I went about looking up product photography tutorials to see exactly what gear i needed and how to do it. If you have an idea of what exactly you want to learn, you can always pm me and I'll try to help.

I think dutch angles are way overused, but this didn't quite turn out how I imagined it in my head and it was a lazy way to make a bad picture slightly better.

I sold my spare Gaim SHF missing the closed lockseed last year and the proper thing to do would be to mail him the lockseed now that I found it again...but the guy never responded to any of my ebay messges/multiple payment requests and it took over over a week to pay so fuck him.

The Teddy Machete? Yeah. I love that the mouth opens.

I love it. I've always liked New Den-O's design, but as far as Den-O SIC's go it works the body best of the two I own, minus the slightly limited shoulders. (but only because of the suit design's big rail things) Aside from that, it's a really good figure. The paint is better than Wing Form, especially on the dengasher. The gripping hands fit into the handle better due to it being slightly thinner at the very base of the hilt, and the design liberties don't distort the "likeness" of New Den-O like they did on Sword Form.

I really want to get Liner Form/Zero Form and Gaoh next. Is it weird that I kinda want to get all the non-popularised forms first? :/

Hey it does! Well, the SIC with it's greebly techno-grunge for sure.

This is my problem with the old style hips/legs. This is the third figure I've actually managed to scratch the plastic and paint on the upper thigh by trying to get the most out of articulation. The inner edge of the hip is kind of sharp and just cuts into the leg.

The Mark 45 is a NIGHTMARE with that problem. Not only are the thighs super shiny and easy to guff, but the armor around the hip is like... razor sharp with a pointy corner. How are you even supposed to move his legs forward and get him into a decent ground-pound pose like that without causing minor scratches? Unless you're ridiculously careful, it's bound to happen.

For that post, in my brain the 43 was the 45 and I counted passed Hulkbuster to 47. :p

My gorenger and naruto were both scratched in the same place too (upper left thigh). I don't hamhand my toys and i'm pretty careful with them but the hips are sharp enough to cut into plastic with just a tiny pit of pressure.
