And yeah, Last One simply removes the human body. I don't think any Zodiart who undergoes Last One actually receives a physical change. |
What parts of Fourze had CGI motorbikes? The only times I remember it showing up where CGI would even be warranted was when it was being launched into space.

All I know is that Zodiart going into Last One isn't anywhere near the level of a Horoscope going Supernova. |

I mean, you're watching OOO, and I can't think of anything like you're describing. The only two instances I recall are when the Ridevendor got the Cheetah upgrade (said upgrade is not a functioning vehicle, so it's understandable, and they intercut shots of OOO on the practical bike. Also it doesn't show up... I think ever again except maybe once) and Tajador when he flies. (also acceptable since, well, he's flying superman style. And they also intercut scenes of the suit actor with CGI wings) |

OOO doesn't use less CGI than W, you just stopped W before they cooled off the CGI. Most rider shows CGI it up before just using it for the occasional thing.
Wizard does love it's CGI, though. |

Or rather, you need to just watch the movie and go from there.

It's not even a whole movie, since you can skip Decade's portion because the final battle doesn't actually pick up where Decade's part left off.
|
Got OOO and Fourze to watch first!
OOO 11 was pretty meh, as you can gather from my long winded posts, if an episode actually leaves me with basically nothing to say you have a problem. Gotou is an absolute ass bulge though, I hope he gets a turn around like Shun did. |

So, wait, I just realised that if a rider dies in Ryuki, they get eaten by their contract monster...
So does that mean...? http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c5...psc0e80a49.png Nah. |

Okay, Yui's, uh, Obasan (the fuck even is that?) is funny. "What are you doing making a pass at a thirteen year old?" "I'm nighteen."
It's funny because I believe both of them. |

Jesus TVNihon.
BTW, this lawer guy is great. He and Ryuki are urrounded by corperate bad guys (one of which is seriously the Museum guy Soukichi roundhouse-breakdanced kicked from the W movie) and backs together, he says there's only one thing left to do, and gets on his knees to apologize. Hahaha! |
The kicker?
It's literally one extended vowel off from being "Grandmother" (Obaasan). |

Who is this strange bespectacled woman who works at the journalist place? She's utterly nuts.
Also, I really like Zolda. He's just such a smuggy mugger mugget. His boytoy that can't whistle, a bit less. Mostly because he just sort of hangs around, and all we really see of him is how he whistles badly and slurps when he eats. |
Ryuki 10: Okay, I'm done watching Ryuki until I get the Zolda Figuart.
He may be my favourite character. That arc was really, really damn good. I did not see the end coming. I thought maybe they'd use the ransom money to pay the girl's mother's hospital bills. I did not see Zolda stepping up to do that. I mean, I really, really liked that arc. Everything about Zolda from his own illness to his comfortable lifestyle to his motivations for being a rider. He's simultainiously living life to the fullest while he can and not letting anyone stop him, yet still holds on to the fleeting hope of survival and fights for it. All while being a fairly intricate character. It would have been so easy to just keep him a dispicable rat, but instead he did something completely out of the blue but totally in-line with the character. To a lesser extent I'm totally into Gorou. He's subdued, almost creepy, with an appearence that suggests some kind of street thug. Instead he's polite, kind, loyal, but not blindly so. He's rreally intriguing. I like Ryuki, Knight's okay, Scissors was a nobody, but if Zolda and his sidekick are a sign of things to come, I'm really gonna like this show. BTW, every scene with Ryuki was pure comedy. Especially Knight getting on his case and increasing the debt owed more and more. I like those two togther more than individually. |

Ryuki was the second Rider show I watched after W and I really loved it. Its a very good look at how being a Rider would affect a person who ISN'T the JUSTICE loving type we usually see in other shows and how they would interact with other people. Just wait until the really fucked up people like Ouja show up. :D |
I'm glad you're enjoying Ryuki. It's a really rather fun series, despite introducing so many "Nobody" characters who receive little to no development.
|
I guess you're refering to dudes like Scissors? Eh, he was a glorified monster of the week. So far they seem pretty clear about which riders are main dudes.
|
Eh, they only really did that with Scissors and the second Alternative Rider.
All the other Riders either got development or their characterization was so good that they didn't need any. |
There are characters that stick around longer, but their presence doesn't really amount to much more than "He lasted longer than Scissors."

Scissors sounds like the Radditz of Ryuki.

Blade 11
Ah, so the stuff controlling Tachibana is made from some sort of ancient plant. Hmm. I have a bad feeling things might go bad for Sayoko if she keeps following this, so I hope I'm wrong. I did have a similar feeling with Hajime's friend with the people from the limo spying on him...though that just turned out to be his dad. The Spider Undead looks pretty cool. Category: Ace? Guess that means it's special somehow. |
Blade 12
So all of the Rider Systems are created from Category Ace Undeads? I suppose that explains the cards they use to transform in the first place. I wonder how they managed seal them in the first place, seeing as how they're so powerful. So Hajime saves a family from a monster and when he goes to check on them, the mother shouts, "Stay away!" and runs off, shielding her child. Man, do I hate that shit when it appears in every super hero thing. Sure, Hajime's actually a monster...but they don't know that! He's a Rider and it seems to be common knowledge that Riders are heroes in this show so...be grateful lady! And of course, Hajime's friend turns on him as well. I suppose his friend's subplot with the boat is over then? I kinda hope so... I knew something bad was gonna happen to Sayako if she kept looking into that plant. Now Shades is after her. Hopefully, Tachibana'll snap out of it in time to save her. |
Fourze episode 16, the episode where shit got real... sort of. I really really like Libra (minus his incredibly shit looking superspeed effect), he is a way better villain than Scorpion was, even if she got to do some good stuff in that rushed episode she got beaten in.
Also the Engrish Jingle Bells was fantastic along with Gen's amazing painting. Nah I'm joking this episode, like most, had a really inspiring message and made me feel great by the end. Maybe that is why I can forgive Fourze for feeling so child friendly. This would deffo make for a great series if they ever plan to do another American adaptation. Also hell yeah fighting with your henshin. I love how they make every Switch in this show, no matter how seemingly shitty, useful. What I did think was the funny was the awkward location jump. I can forgive stuff like that in adaptations to some extent because they aren't gonna find a location that exactly fits but when the originals do that it is just shameful. Meteor's suit design is both hideous and awesome in the same breath. And as cool as his introduction was I couldn't help but feel the plotting was kinda terrible, we don't actually need a secondary Rider because we have the Power Dizer. They could have got past this if they had that get destroyed but instead Shun just stood around gorping in the episode rather than helping out like he has done in...every other episode since he joined. Breaking established character to make your stuff 'make sense' is shit writing. Still Kamen Rider Bruce Lee was pretty fun, he punched WITH A PLANET. |
Lots found Meteor's non symmetrical design to be part of his appeal.
Anyway, you got to Meteor, eh? I personally liked his Bruce Lee screams. It was both hilarious and awesome :lol And Meteor kind of reduces Shun's role, unfortunately. He still uses the Power Dizer to help out, but not as often anymore. |
The reason Fourze is so child friendly is because after the tsunami the writers wanted to give children a hero to just enjoy and have fun with. I find that pretty inspiring in itself.

It's annoying as well because they could have paced this much better, really easily. Shun just got in that fight with Super Scorpion so why not just have the Dizer destroyed in that fight so it makes sense that Meteor would need to step in? I guess at least I should be glad that Perseus was powered up and had one of the Horoscopes with him, half the time when a secondary Rider or sixth Ranger turns up they just suddenly make the base team or Rider completely useless and unable to fight or do half the things they could do in the previous episode. The first time I watched Meteor's introduction, I actually had to re-watch it because I had trouble believing that he made Bruce-Lee screams and punched with a planet. It didn't help that I was in Pakistan at the time, since YouTube has (or had) limited bandwidth.

Episode 12 of OOO: Eiji has really grown on me as a Rider, I'll give the show that much. He's making this otherwise pretty boring and generic show worth watching.
Plus, although pretty much all the villains minus Gamel are uninspiring, it was pretty fun to have so many people fighting at once in this episode. SaGoZou was pretty meh though, probably my least favourite of the Combo forms yet. |
Eiji and Ankh were what made OOO for me. I loved the two so much.
|
There is nothing really wrong with OOO but it just feels like Wizard again...or Wizard was like OOO again and it isn't OOOs fault that I saw Wizard first...but I did and OOOs just feels so bland and tired now because of it.
For all of its faults Kuuga was a very different beast to the other shows, just as Fourze is, whenever it comes to an episode of OOO it's just like...meh. Speaking of Fourze, episode 17, man Meteor is awesome! I like how he's a really serious d-bag and yet when he fights he leaps around making Bruce Lee noises haha. Plus his henshin is so cool. He may be a little too serious for Fourze but I also find him kinda refreshing and makes him feel like less of a spare part than say...Beast did and does. He strikes good contrast with Gen and it's cool to see an evil Rider again, even if he isn't properly evil. About the only thing I don't like about him is his Driver, I'm glad it isn't singing at least, but most of what it says sounds like questions and so in turn the Driver always sounds really confused and kinda clashes with the character somewhat. Yuuki is also the cutest thing in the entire universe, my God I am smitten (I've been meaning to mention this for ages but always forget) And again with those horrid location jumps. It gets even more confusing because I swear every show uses the same locations so it all starts bleeding into one another. |
