Actually no, those episodes were recorded before she had her baby. It's just that licensing stuff got in the way of it. However, the next arc after Thriller Bark will have a delay depending on how long it takes them to get the license for it.

Well now I'm interested. How could there now be license issues for One Piece?

Pretty much my reaction to the whole thing. I still think the ending was pretty dumb but I wanna see what the next season does to make up for it.

It was because they were negotiating for the rights to stream the season as well, so even though they had the rights to the season on DVD, they wanted to get it streamed too.

One of our friends works for Funimation, but even then, she isn't allowed to talk about every little thing that goes on in her office.

Somehow I found the anonymous soldier that spoke to Slaine to be the most interesting moment of the episode... I'm weird like that.

Anyways, pretty much everybody died because OMG subversion and OMG drama, Inaho was barely a character and the princess was targeted for death since ep so I guess it wasn't that surprising.

So it felt dumb, but like you said S2 will ultimately make up for it or completely bury the show.

We actually don't know that she's still dead (the closing remarks seem to imply she's not, that Slaine took her away and might have saved her) and that's all the more aggravating. Because that would make it 3 times she cheated death in 12 fucking episodes. Ugh.

But seriously fuck Slaine. There was no reason for him to have saved Saazbaum and he just ruined everything. Petty jealousy potentially cost the life of the woman he loved and gave us the incredibly meaningless death of Inaho.

Maybe we'll get an interesting character in season 2. But chances are it'll be Slaine and I just despise him now.

Well that's... interesting. Doesn't make sense to me that they'd be separate at this point or that it wouldn't be easy to do, but then I'm no businessman so can't speak to the idiocy that goes on in the licensing world..

1. Because Funimation initially started streaming the show at 396, they did not own the rights to stream the earlier stuff. They have to purchase a separate license for that.

2. Funimation also has to purchase a license to stream the episodes dubbed.

3. They also have to purchase a license to release the show on BD, which Toei is refusing to do.

Captain Earth finished this weekend too and I have to say I enjoyed it, even though the first seven or so episodes were a chore to get through and the final episode was rather abrupt (and open-ended).

The mecha action was pretty scarce, but what it had was excellent and all of the Midsummer Knights were such great characters I was happy to watch it just for them. Its a pity that the Planetary Gears didn't get the same level of development, because Amara and Moco were the only ones that were of any interest after they had their memories restored. Puck REALLY needed better development too, because every time he was involved in something there was so much exposition and terminology involved that I kept getting confused.

I say it like I said it to Suzu last night...Aldnoah Zero is the story of how Micchy actually achieved everything he set out to do after he went total bonkers :lol

I finished watching Dragonball Season 2 tonight and thankfully things really picked up once it got to the General Blue arc as the first half of the season was very sluggish to get through. I loved Muscle Tower in the manga, but it just seemed to drag on in the anime. Not just that, but some of my favorite jokes in the chapters when Goku finds Bulma were not in the anime. The only thing that completely lost me was the Dr Slump stuff as it was just throwing in all of these characters I guess you are just supposed to know who they are and what their backgrounds are, and it made them hard to sit through. Like there were these aliens that were just there and they were picking up trash for some reason. Then there was some dude that looks like Yamucha (which was also confusing in the manga, but he only appeared for like 3 pages there). The worst part was General Blue hitting on some 10 year old boy. That was just really really creepy and disgusting that Toei would do that at the same time. Thankfully, things kicked ass again once Tao Pai Pai entered the fray. In fact, he is one of my favorite villains from the original Dragonball series, and at least some of the filler gives him more screen time, so I am sort of okay with that.

I finished Vividred Operation and honestly... I can't come up with any sort of coherent take on it.

I utterly hate the fanservice in it, because it's so specific, the guy has a fixation on rear ends, and man, everybody wears shorts so short they barely can be called that.
But I do love it essentially being a mecha show with Magical Girls as the units, the story is nice, the charcters get a decent amount of development, the different endings are nice, the action is solid if a short, and it's so lighthearted, silly and optimistic.
I both love and hate this thing.
And I kind of neutral it too.

I just dunno how to feel.
I'm in for a Season 2 if it ever were to happen.

But for know, I just feel weird.

I despised Vividred Operation when I watched it. Utterly despised it. Looking back on it now, as much as I hate the annoying focus on fanservice, the bleh plot and ending and the overall flat characters who weren't Akane or Rei, it did have good action, visuals, music and a great concept. Don't like it still, but I don't hate it as much...though I still wouldn't watch any additional content.

I've seen much worse shows out there. Like Fantasista Dolls or that Blazblue adaptation.

And it's not like Akane was particualry deep either, she's just excitable, happy, outgoing lead #342.

To be honest the BlazBlue anime can barely be called an adaptation, it's a series of nonsensical animated cutscenes that make no sense to anybody who hasn't played the games.

Yeah, I don't anything quite compares to the awfulness that is the Blazblue anime :lol

Finished watching Acchi Kocchi. Next up, Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan- Demon Capital.

Didn't the guy who made that also make Strike Witches? The fact that everyone in that show only ever ran around in their underpants really bothered me. I can only recall one time ever seeing a girl wear pants in that show.

So I´m 18 Episodes into Yugioh Arc-V and I like it. It has its fair share of problems and the story moves at a snails pace but the characters are pretty fund and its great that we finally got a season again that is not completely focused on the new card gimmick.

Pendulum Summons are important and are special but all the other ways of summoning monsters are still very important and dont get shoved to the sidelines.

Woah, woah, wait, Synchro and Xyz are back?

Yup they made a big deal about it that Fusion,Synchro and Xyz summoning are back. You have alot of different characters using decks with one of those methods of summoning new monsters.

I'm so lost as to how the new Arc V cards works, like.... fusion is combing to monster cards, Synchro is adding up the stars, and XYZ are overlaying the same number of star level. What is the new Method/thing now?

Pendulum Summoning works kinda like this:

You have two Pendulum Monsters in your hand and each of those has a special pendulum level on it. You put both monsters into the pendulum zones on the field (those zones are located between the field magic/extra deck and the graveyard/main deck). Now once per turn you can special summon as many monsters from your hand onto the field that have a level between the two pendulum levels of your pendulum monsters.

Holy... that sounds like it could add tons of variety to the duels.

It's literally a scale, you get one monster on each side of the scale, and summon monsters whose levels are between those two values

Wow... How is that balanced? Curious to see how that works in the TCG now.

There are no Pendulum Heroes as far as I know.

Very easy to summon and don't have the material restriciton, it sounds insanely broken on paper.

Yup they are treated as spell cards once placed into the pendulum zones. Also when a pendulum monster (no matter if its placed as amonster or not) is not send to the graveyard but is instead placed face up onto your extra deck. Thiy way if your pendulum scale is still intact you can summon those monster during your next turn.

Arc-V has been pretty good far. Likeable characters(Futoshi aside), a good variety decks(with all the different summoning methods!), and the plot will definitely be interesting when it kicks into gear(yay for ruined future!).

Yeah... I'll stick to Xyz. :lol

Does anybody else in the show get Pendulum summon?
First episodes made it look exclusive to the protagonist.
