Well, don't be entirely dismayed. Digimon was thought dead after Beelzemon and Omnimon, but it's going through a revival after other figures sold better.
Maybe if they released normal Blaziken instead of Mega, they would've gotten better sales...

I guarantee they would have. The Megas were still relatively new and not what people were used to. Blaziken may be pretty popular, but that popularity came long before the Mega existed.

Because with the exception of Mega Blaziken (based on it still being available on AmiAmi at 50% off >_<), my impression was that they all sold really well. Mewtwo (getting a reissue and all) and Charizard especially. How do we truly know how they performed?

It's been over a year since its release, though, so can't help but feel it is over.

I want to keep hope, mainly because Pokemon is my jam, but it is kind of likely...
I'm not a big fan of Blaziken, but I kind of want to release him. It's a popular Pokemon overall, so I'd hope that by releasing him, the sales would show that Pokemon Figuarts isn't a lost cause...

Do you think we could see Pokken Tournament at EVO next year?

Depends if the game gets a huge competitive scene really quick.

I don't think so, myself.
Perhaps as a sub tournament, but probably not actively streamed.

Maybe if Nintendo pushes it to be there then I could see it. But it would actually involve Nintendo getting off their ass and helping set up for tournaments of their own god damn games. And then they'd also have to support Smash 4, since it'd be weird if they didn't, and then the Melee people would get pissed....

Melee people would get pissed if the game ran smoothly.

And even though it's Nintendo's game doesn't mean they have to actively support it's tournament scene. Hell, it took Nintendo years for them to acknowledge competitive Pokemon.
