Look, I like OOO. A lot of people like OOO. But that doesn't change the fact that the OOO section of Movie War Core was terrible. It was written by someone with minimal knowledge of the show or characters and it shows. Everyone is completely out of character, the story makes very little sense, and there's a huge amount of time devoted to characters we've never seen before and who never appear again. I'd like to say the action scenes make up for it, but they really don't - there are way better fight scenes on the average OOO episode, not to mention the other movies. Nobunaga's Desire is bad. It is objectively and irrefutably bad. Its only saving grace is that it is totally non-canonical (which is another annoying aspect, after how skillfully W tied in all of its movies) and can therefore easily be completely ignored.

I will defy you to find five people on this message board who will say they actually liked Nobunaga's Desire (and Sentai doesn't count because he comes from Opposite Land, where up is down, left is right, and Goseiger is awesome :p).

Wait, what was good in OOO's portion of Core?

You mean other than the fact that it's absurdly out of continuity, has a terrible plot, pathetic imitations of the actual characters from the series, a terrible villain, and that it takes screen time away from the epic Skull portion of the film?

Look I'll admit that if it was taken on it's own it wouldn't be too bad. But there are just so many problems that contribute to this film that it's really hard to appreciate it for anything. Especially in the context of the normal representations of the OOO franchise that we get from the series and it's other movies. It's just a poorly made movie in general but the way it handled OOO is just sad :(

heres wat i say in retort: 1 its ooo so i like it, 2, would u rather be seeing some stupid scene were the pastor asks if accel will take akiko as his wife and he yells "DON'T ASK ME QUESTIONS!!!!!!"

It does. Fang Joker is initially a form they actively try not to use because of the chance that Phillip will lose control. But the W/OOO movie takes place well after the end of W's series. They master that form with the first few episodes that it's featured actually.

This thread proves I made the right choice in skipping the first 40 mins of Movie War Core (the OOOs segment). It's actually great watch if you watch it that way. :D

The issue with that is, despite control, Philip isn't as physically able as Shotaro, I believe.

Anyway, OOO makes everything better because OOO is awesome.
But making a pile of crap slightly better a diamond does not make :lol

Just watch Let's Go Kamen Rider if you want to watch a good OOO movie (That doesn't require as much possible backstory as OOO Wonderful does).

That is easily my favorite Rider movie i have seen. It introduced me to Momotaros , helped me learn a lot about Kamen Rider history , Showed me the charm of Stronger's outfit and so much more.

They're good. They belong more in the Over-Time/KITSubs (especially KITSubs) school of subbing - more localized than TVN. It's a good sub, though, and you can even watch the first few episodes with the Grongi subbed. Don't do that the first time through, though. It spoils a lot of the story if you can actually understand them.

I actually love Lets Go. It's also one of my favorite Rider films just based on the epic role call of all the main riders and that ridiculous battle at the end with the flying motorcycles :lol I enjoy the hell out of that one.

I think the only actual misstep for Let's Go with me was OOO's Taichi-ing the enemy to death while the other Riders stood around.

i dont like how ooo isnt a big part of the movie, but i think thats a plague of any deno crossever :P

But you have to admit that OOO's had more to do then anybody else in a Den-O team up movie. And hell yes to flying motorcycles!

Episode Yellow doesn't count. That's Chou Den-O, not Den-O.

But it's still in continuity with Den-O and involves the same cast of characters.

i gotta ask, in saraba deno, they changed the denliner and the inside, which is fine although saddening :(, but in all the other movies after they go back to regular denliner, but keep the new inside. y?!

It uses characters from Den-O, but Den-O isn't a top billed character (It's Chou Den-O), thus not making it his crossover.

It can be explained away as simple renovation to "They had the old sets around after they Saraba (Farewell) Den-O movie, so they decided to continue using them."

Honestly after they changed actors and just had Momo henshin into Den-O in Let's go Kamen Riders , does Nogami even matter when Den-O appears in the future?

True story: The first Rider anything I tried to watch was All Riders vs Dai-Shocker. I thought it was good at first, but then the tournament ended and Tsukasa was evil and something about his sister trapped in her room and I just couldn't take it. Then I decided to watch the other big Rider crossover movie(Den-O OOO yadda yadda), and thought it was pretty good, even though I hadn't seen any of the series involved.

I gotcha. Makes total sense. But at this point Momotaros basically is original Den-O (what with Ryutaros' actors being out of the picture). And since he's featured in that movie, even if he isn't top billed, I'll still call it a Den-O movie :D

I am still a Kamen Rider rookie but i was a total novice watching this movie. This movie helped me learn so much. I had only seen all of Fourze up to that point and like 20 episodes of OOO's so i knew next to nothing. The biggest let down from watching that movie was working backwards to watch Den-O and getting really confused about the Ryutaro / Kotaro situation and the lack of Teddy in the series.

Yep. "Chou Henshin" is more or less "Super Transform," which is why Yusuke uses it when he goes into a Rising form.

You're thinking New Den-O. New Den-O is the character, Chou Den-O is the post-Final Countdown film series.

Takeru Sato's moved on to bigger and better things. He's a fantastic actor, so it was bound to happen eventually.

I don't have a problem with them. Im working backwards here , So Kotaro is the first Den-O i saw. i learned very quick to love Ryutaro and everything about Den-O. I just happened to like Teddy from Let's Go Kamen Riders and wanted more of him.

Den-O hate seems to have largely died down. People who bitched about how it was too silly have mostly moved on to complaining about how Fourze is too silly. People who bitched about Bandai cranking out Den-O movie after Den-O movie have had a lot less fodder. Den-O isn't the omnipresent face of the franchise like it was a few years ago and a lot of the complaining about it has correspondingly faded.
