Guess I'm in the minority but, I find the villains really drab. Which is a shame since the foot soldiers were so awesome looking.
|
The more of Tokkyuger I see the more meh I am. which is a shame, since the vaillains have visual potential

The villains look awesome. They remind me a lot of the villains from Ohranger - a sort of royal, albeit here colonial, malevolent force. Really cool theme.

So, The "big reveal" of Conductor and why he was shadowed out in the mag scans is that he's jsut a normal looking dude? Disappointed we don't get some crazy robot train guy to go with Wagon :( I may be missing it right now, but the actor doesn't look familiar to me.

That's a shame.. I was really hoping for Owner.
|
Hahaha, everyone was hoping for Owner. I sure hope we get a crossover movie.
|
So first Yuuichi Namakura in Go-Busters, then Tomatsu Haruka in Kyoryuger and now Horie Yui and Fukuyama Jun in ToQger. Some noticeable Japanese seiyuu in these last few Sentai seasons~

Tomatsu Haruka has voiced a number of characters in the past year or two, but her most notable right now is probably Asuna from Sword Art Online. Horie Yui has also voiced a wide range of characters on top of being a singer. She's been very energetic characters like Kushieda Minori from ToraDora! and more refined characters like one of her current roles as Kaga Kouko in Golden Time. Fukuyama Jun's the same. As stated on the front page he voiced Lelouche in Code Geass and is currently reprising his role as Tagashi Yuuta in the second season of Love, Chuunibyou and Other Delusions. I'm sure there had to have been a few other seiyuu who worked on previous Sentai shows at least once or even actors that became seiyuu. For example Ichimichi Mao, Gokai Yellow, has been doing voice work herself in stuff like Samurai Flamenco and World Conquest: Zvezda Plot. |
I bow at your knowledge, Sir.

I've been busy this weekend so I've seemingly missed quite a bit of news, time for a catch up!
The Shadow Line organisation look fabulous, even the huge nightmare-inducing one :lol The fighting to reclaim lost memory stuff sounds interesting, as does the Shashou/Ticket thing (I am going to NEED one of those puppets). Wagon kinda reminds me of Colon from Liveman which is no bad thing, and getting Yui Horie in on a Sentai show is pretty exciting for anime fans. Not just that, but there's a lot of other great voices joining the cast too. Jun Fukuyama is a particular favourite of mine. Yeah, I just further and further in love with this show. The fact people have said its Carranger all over again just gets me more and more excited. |
I'm in love already with Madam Noa.
|
Hm... I have a feeling it will translate better in-action. But the images we currently have (hopefully) do no justice to what they are doing.
I'm going to give this one a chance, because I appreciate how dapper the villain cast is. But, it doesn't change that the suits all look like candy cane rejects. |

Personally, I don't think Tokkyuger will be anything like Carranger.... |

I think the comedic angle of the show may be akin to Carranger or Go-Onger but it'll definitely be it's own beast entirely. It appears to have a really unique mix of zaniness to show us. Can't wait!
|
I think- and hope- it will go the Goseiger route. Light-hearted at the beginning and getting more dark and serious at the end.

I dig it, then again I dig everything Toqger, and Sentai themes are almost always great.
|
Wow, I like that opening more than I expected.
|
I'm loving that ending.
|
Both themes are winners! The opening sounds so retro, in my opinion.

Never seen Carranger, but if the tone is anything like the Carranger episode of Gokaiger, I am so down. (Jealoushitto for Life!) |

I thought Kyoryuger was supposed to be the Carranger today. :D |
|
Quote:
But, nonetheless, Kyoryuger made up for Go-Busters' toy sales, as people LOVED the Gaburevolver. Quote:
|
If Tokkyuger is going to be the modern Carranger, I can't wait for Saban to get it and make it half super serious and half "This is supposed to be funny?" comedy :p
|
Quote:
And as lighthearted as Kyoryuger can be at times, it's not an overt comedy/parody like Carranger (apparently) was. |

I absolutely loved Go-Busters and have really enjoyed Kyoryuger. What does that say about my taste? :lol |
