The Gorilla visor reminds me a bit of the GingaRed, but that's just me. I do look forward on what the other rangers will look like with their own visor power ups.

It would be downright hilarious and amazing if White and Blue got all muscled up in their Visor Up forms too. Make it happen, Juuouger! :lol

They probably wouldn't give them huge muscles, but make them a little more toned. The muscles would be hilarious though.

Right, I mean, they'll probably alter the others' bodies to give them the attribute of whatever Instinct Awakening animal they draw their Visor Up powers from. But still. The image of grotesquely muscled-up Japanese martial artist ladies is so impractical and unusual, it makes me laugh.

I also really, really dislike foam muscle suits, so I'm trying to imagine scenarios where they aren't the worst thing ever.

The helmet gimmick is cool, I like it. And the best part is, when this is adapted into PR, the inevitable roided out BoA figure will actually be accurate!

I really hope that the other Jyuohgers get the same ability down the line, since their helmets look like they could.

So, it seems the first Super-Combo will be an eight-piece Mecha.

The first six are the main animal cubes we know about. #7 is the Giraffe Bazooka add-on. So who or what is number 8???

Wow. I wasn't expecting to see that until second quarter.

The next mecha combination has the potential to turn my opinion of the DX line around; it depends wholly on how it's executed. My worst-case scenario is that there's some kind of frame mecha and the whole thing works like Hyper Ressha TeiOh in a bad way. I'm crossing my fingers, though, in the hopes that they've pulled off an engineering and design miracle, and that the resulting mecha is dramatically better than what we've seen so far. I doubt it; the silhouette doesn't hint at actual legs. Still, there's always hope. I'm still really curious about this new Sentai, and praying it restores my enthusiasm Sentai in general.

I'm trying to look at this stuff without being such an asshole, but every time new pictures surface, nothing really catches my eye or impresses me.

Well, here's to hoping the candy toys will make up for the disappointment that the DX is looking to be, since those tend to have better articulation in exchange for lacking pointless sounds and gimmicks.

I feel like the suits needed to have black pants or something to break up the color. I still have hope the show will be fun. Seems like the ideas would work better on screen than in toy form.

Just saw the new scans, and...

I love love love the helmets. After a couple of years of "just throw a train track on it" and "just put a shuriken on it," we're finally back to some interesting shapes and designs.

I'm warming up to the costumes. Tiger, Lion, and Elephant work best for me, since they take up a lot of the chest space.

The only one I don't really like is Shark. Her helmet doesn't really make sense to me, nor does it look very cool. And the shark on the torso is just like, sitting there, very small, in a field of blue. There's a lot of weird negative space. Here's hoping that her Visor Up form makes better use of the animal motif.

I'm so in love with ZyuohKing. It looks all Aztec-y. Really into it as a costume.

The other Zyuohger helmets have the same gray around the jaw as Zyuoh Eagle, leading me to suspect they'll all Visor Up at some point.

I thought I'd engage in some idle speculation over what other animals they might Visor Up. UNINFORMED SPECULATION GO! I'd have assumed it would've had something to do with their Skies/Savannah/Seas/Forests/Snow Fields thing, but that kinda gets blown to hell since Zyuoh Eagle (Ruler of the Skies) Visors Up to be a gorilla. Color may not be a great clue, since the gorilla form riffs on black rather than red.

Since we know we're getting a gorilla auxiliary mecha and a gorilla Visor Up, I'll guess that one of the Zyohgers becomes a giraffe. If it's yellow, perhaps the mecha would allow him to stretch? A silly interpretation, but appropriate for Sentai. In addition to the animal image changing, perhaps the form gets spots. (And oh, HEY, I just noticed the brown accents on Lion's shirt, which would translate pretty well to giraffe spots.) So my official wild speculation is that Zyuoh Lion will Visor Up to Zyuoh Giraffe.

Hm. Maybe the Visor Up thing involves gaining a new ability? If Gorilla gives our red hero strength, and if I'm right in guessing that Giraffe gives a hero stretching...

How about a Visor Up for Green? I'm going to treat color as a clue again (although that's not a safe assumption, as I noted above), combine that with the gives-the-hero-a-novel-ability hypothesis, and guess that Zyuoh Elephant will Visor Up to become Zyuoh Chameleon, gaining some kind of cloaking/blending power.

That would leave Zyuoh Shark and Zyuoh Tiger. They both appear to have gray accents on their tops. I wonder if Toei will be able to resist doing something that reads as more cute/feminine. I'm going to go out on a limb and, based on my prior assumptions, guess Tiger's Visor up might be a swan or flamingo with the power of flight. (Swan if they want to further honor Jetman, flamingo if they just can't stand not to do something Really Pink with a female Sentai hero.)

So how about Zyuoh Shark? Here, could we interpret the shape of her mask as some kind of hint? A visor up would raise the points at the chin and cheeks above her head. What kind of shape would that create? I'm kinda stumped. Zyuoh Kabuto? What ability would that even involve? Zyuoh Porcupine? Zyuoh Armadillo? Zyuoh Peacock? Too many possibilities! Nothing stands out at me as sufficiently likely.

I'm also deliberately avoiding a few otherwise-likely animals like the wolf, since I assume we're getting more obvious animals with our presumed sixth and (I hope!) possible additional senshi.

If my guesses are anywhere close to the accurate, I presume each of the Visor Up forms would be connected to a cube animal auxiliary mecha. I could envision a chameleon tongue attack or swan/flamingo wings on Zyuoh King. What do the rest of you think they'd be likely to do? Am I missing some 8-bit possibilities? Any visual clues on the helmets or uniforms that I'm missing, given what we know about Zyuoh Eagle's Gorilla Visor Up?

Tl;dr: I'm guessing Visor Up Yellow Giraffe, Green Chameleon, and White Bird. Whaddaya think?

That visor up is kind of interesting. Well opens up for more power ups and more mecha.

The mecha in this series reminds of this old CGI cartoon that used to air on Cartoon Network called Pecola.

Those animal forms look incredible! This show continues to reference KR OOO hardcore, what with these animal forms looking a lot like that show's bad guys, and the three-animal stacking mecha combos referencing its form change gimmick.

Does this newspaper flyer reveal the creative staff as well??? I know we often get that info on Christmas, along with the casting announcement.

This is so cool, I have no words for this!

I find Fukuzawa's fight choreography excellent, but his filmmaking choices are subpar compared to the action directors of the 90s-00s. His fight scenes lack the epic panache of Kazuo Niibori or Junji Yamaoka.

The plot and production team is solid to me, so I am 20x more excited for this show. =)

I'm curious how the animal forms will play into things.

The staff behind Zyuohger seems nice. They definitely have the experience. The cast is okay. ZyuohEagle seems cool, but the others just don't seem like they fit their animal. It's hard to explain, but you can just associate somethings with a person's face and these animals don't really fit the actor.

It's pronounced the same way so it's not like it matters. There's a lot of ways it could have been spelled.
