An interesting rumor has appeared!

The first thing that comes to mind, that's definitely a Revice script (or at least, a real good imitation of it). I don't have any pictures on hand but I do recall that very early on in Revice, guest cast members would take photos with a similar looking booklet (albiet, the swirly bits were in shades of pink and blue, and I'm not sure the siblings' emblems were on it either) to highlight their appearance on the show. For obvious reasons, the show hasn't had guest cast members in quite a while, so we have no idea of knowing if they updated the designs at some point.

Secondly, its a Revice script, so the filming couldn't be for any Geats-related content (like the original content being made for the press conference). Assuming filming still takes place roughly a month and week away from an episode's actual airdate, that is.........the week of August 17-20th. (I forget, aren't we due for another break in SHT in the summer for a sport program or something, or has that already happened?) In any case, that's *very* close to Revice's projected penultimate/final episode, a nice little spot to sneak a cameo to a new Rider, if you ask me.

Anyway, what's your opinion on this rumor? I'm willing to believe just a bit. Something about the user deleting these posts makes me wonder if they were geniunely worried about Toei taking legal action for breaking NDA n shit, someone who was just spouting fake lies wouldn't have anything to worry about, even if they got super close predictions.

Edit: Oh yeah, should probably add what the tweets say. Take it with a grain of salt since I'm throwing it into DeepL, feel free to translate it yourself to get any nuances I might've missed.

Tweet 1: # KamenRiderRevice, I went to a extra shooting of the next Kamen Rider after Revice, #4, right now! The new Kamen Rider was cool as usual! It was great to see the fight scene live. I got a soveniur of Revice because I couldn't get the new rider's one yet.

Eh, the user deleting their tweets doesn't fully sell the idea to me since people can easily just do that on purpose to make their rumor seem more legitimate. That said, the inclusion of a photo of their episode script booklet does add a hefty amount of weight to their rumor.

What's more, Toei has had a new Rider appear in one of the later episodes of the current Rider, so that part is also pretty believable.

Surprisingly, it's the content of their tweet doesn't really do much for me since rumors of Geats having some sort of fox motif/connection have already been circulating around the fandom for a while.

Oh, that reminds me. The person who I learned this from actually had to delete his own post about it, as he left OP's name and @ uncensored and he got DMs from JPN fans requesting to take it down to not get them in trouble.

Since OP could get in legal trouble with Toei if on the likelihood that it's true, let's refrain from directly posting the image on any major social media sites where Toei might have eyes, ok? If you see the uncensored version of the image, do your part and request for it to be taken down/censored/cropped.

As for the fox theme already being around town, said person I got this from was actually trying to re-trace the steps of those rumors to see its origin/re-examine any more rumors that came with the original statement now that the fox rumor has a bit more weight, shame he didn't get far before deleting everything.

Well, serious confirmation for the fox theory. Plus, I think the guest actor didn't have access to the Geats concepts, so it's a little easier to see a fox in Ryder than a shark in Faiz. But, if we take it on faith, it turns out minus Beowulf, minus the wolf/axe. Space, stage, riddles are still possible.
And something tells me that the logo should also be red and white.

I saw a lot of speculation on those red and white kabuki masks on twitter so I'm not surprised that a rumour is using them, especially as it may be our best bet. Can't wait to see this as we usually don't have to wait this long

Some clarifications:

Ofuda- essentially tailsmans found in shrines and temples imbued with the power of a deity (more info here)
Tanuki - japanese racoon dog, much like the kitsunes and foxes, it has its own mythological history and is also commonly associated with bake-danuki.
Omen- It's a type of mask commonly used for Japanese theatre and festivals. Such notable variations are the kitsune, oni, tengu, masks.

A lot of interesting ideas here, let's dissect:
-If the "omen mask" is true, then the anagram hint in reference to "stage" when rearraging geats might have weight. Perhaps the various Riders appearing in Geats will be themed after iconic masks/roles. (If we get a Hyottoko Rider I'll laugh my ass off)

-Kitsune and tanuki are commonly rivals in japanese folklore. While this may be the leaker spouting out an easy guess based on Geats' confirmed fox theming, it's seems like just the kind of idea they'd go for if they could find a way to make it cool looking?

-The ofuda is certainly interesting, this might be a more mystical season like Saber.

-I can see the "metaverse" bit working like Toei's other 2 superhero shows are doing rn, where battles take place in either a augmented or totally alternate reality.

I think Metaverse here could refer to the stage Geats supposedly fights on, that these are indeed plays. Funny, I always wanted a Rider focused on movies but this will fulfill that wish of mine

Care to elaborate on that part? Did I accidentally fuck up transcribing the orignial tweet before throwing it into a translator, leading to a altered message? While these are probably true with how close Geats' is to actually being revealed, I kinda hope it's fake. The biggest issue I have is how close the rumors sound to Donbrothers.

"Japanese style with cybernetic design" - Donbrothers motif of modern/digital with Japanese Folk tales (well, at least the Momotaro Folk Tale + Journey to the West with Don Dragoku)

"Features a mask that's not necessarily in the gimmick but absolutely is a part of the motif" - Sunglasses design in Donbrothers

"Ninja Rider" - Don Murasame

"Fight in the Metaverse/Alternate/Digital Reality" - exactly the same scenario with Donbrothers.

I mean, it could be that they are similar in concept only, and actually end up being very different, but for the time being it sounds pretty similar.

Considering it's Toei I think it's hardly a coincidence. The shows will air back to back, and they have to come up with different ideas every year. Both of them being focused on japanese folklore would be 100% intentional. And I can already see the easy crosspromotions they could do.

I'm really not sure if he's a ninja. Or maybe they will deliberately focus on other aspects of shinobi, like stealth (Kenzan is hardly a quiet guy). By the way, it just occurred to me: it would be cool if the ninja rider's gimmick spoke in a whisper, in contrast to the loud cries of others.

An update: Another person has come out, stating they were an extra for Geats! It comes with a much more detailed look at the Revice booklet the other person had. Maybe they are actually filming things for the conference/Geats proper rn...

The tweet doesn't mention anything else except about how much theories about Geats' appearance stems from overseas gossip. (Most likely in reference to the Beowulf/Wolf+Axe rumor, I suppose, since the guy who started it confirmed he was just making shit up? That one fake screenshot based on it did seem like it was passed around a lot in JPN circles, so I guess theyre trying to softly confirm that it's false for everyone.)

Not at all. You need to try thinking critically for once, there is nothing suggesting that these are true and Matt Hunt is wrong about rumors all the time. I do not know why people still believe his lies

No need to get worked up. That part was a bit more of a personal joke, as for the last 4 years every time the rumor that sounds the least wacky and fun IMO tends to be real (like when Revice was rumored to be Rider/Animal combinations rather than mainly Dinosaur themed). This way I don't get disappointed if it turns out to be true. So it's all in good fun.

I personally dislike the guy, and really detest his smug and unearned King of Tokusatsu Fandom attitude, but Matt Hunt generally is right more than he is wrong when it gets this close to the toy meetings. It's usually his early rumors -- which are often WAY more confident than deserved and which he gives far too much credence based on what he thinks will be cool -- that end up being false. He's definitely not always right this late in the game -- and he still bullheadedly and arrogantly defends really dumb rumors for way too long -- but he is right often enough that you can't just automatically write off everything he says as a lie.

Given how frequent the Red Kitsune rumors have been, and from how many Japanese sources they've come from, I'm more inclined to believe them than any of the other rumors that have been spread so far (which have largely come from non-Japanese rumor farms). But really only time will tell.

This kind of thinking is now misinformation gets spread. Just because people are saying it doesn?t make it true, tons of people said the wolf + axe thing and look how that turned out. And this info was not from a toy meeting, he?s just saying whatever at this point

Like I said, only time will tell. I've been around in this fandom long enough to know not to give any rumors too much attention. All I can say is that my intuition tells me these rumors are more legit than anything we've heard so far. That doesn't mean I believe them or am committed in any way to them being accurate. It just means that they don't sound as flagrantly out-of-touch as the Beowolf stuff.

Honestly, I don't know why you're going so hard against these rumors. What happens if they end up being true?

If you're so angry about anything false that can be said about Geats, just don't come to the thread, because that's the only thing you're going to get.

woah, take it down a notch my dude, we're all just trying to have a good time dicussing rumors! I'm a relatively new fan, so idk if the guy's been super arrogant abt the validity of his leaks in the past, but I assume he's just like many other folks in the community: gathering up leaks and posting them for the rest of us can theorize and dicuss them, and possibly knows where to look for the real stuff a smidge better than the rest of us? There's no claim of "this is the correct info" used, I'd imagine he has fun discussing any kind of rumor, suspicious or legit, as much as we all do. Even if I'm mistaken and he's actually some arrogant man who gets uppity about the quality of his leaks, there's no need for name-callling. We're all adults here, we can voice our dislike of certain things without getting heated, no?

Well, we have the authentically famous "Geats" and the black and white title of his show. Yes, it's not much, but in the case of Saber or 01, it would have been enough to designate at least one of the themes of the show. It's just that the season is not very easy to decipher.

Ehhhh I think Don Murasame part and the mask are stretching it, especially as Geats seems to be Kabuki themed

These are extremely vague... Like they could be real... But there's almost nothing to glean from this other than "There sure are a lot of riders!"

It just feels suspiciously absent of any real info, a lot of legit toy lists even pretty early ones have more than this. I remember the suuuuper accurate toy list for Saber as a recent example, I think some leaks for Ultraman Decker also described it's base toy line very accurately

Having eveything just be "thing a" and "thing b" is just, yeah, no info to take away, even if the source has seen an actual toy list lol... There's some conceptual elements to take away from it sort of, and like one more specified item ("scroll") but otherwise yeah

I am not a big fan of cyber or metaverse rumour in the Geats because that's become too similar to DonBrothers.

I prefer the mystical concept for the next Kamen Rider series.

If toei & bandai makes it to the press conference without a single legit photo of Geats leaking ahead of time I'll honestly be super impressed... When was the last time a press conference was actually the first time we got a good idea of what a main rider looked like?

I'm shocked we're presumably so close to the official reveal and the most "credible" leaks are that a couple posts have had fox emojies

If they can make it to Battle Familia(under the assumption the suit will make its debut there) without a single leak of the suit somewhere, i'll be impressed. I was kinda half-expecting some brave soul leaking the "mystery" Avataro Gear for the movie-exclusive set before the movie dropped. (That is, if it is even Geats, the Donblaster sure does have quite a few collab sounds hidden inside...)

Yeah, I genuinely can't think of a time where the Primary Rider's suit wasn't leaked in some fashion.

Also, if Geats is multi-Rider, Japanese theater/folklore themed, I would love to see it look something like Yokai Watch YSP with the different Riders.

I thought Revice and Ryuki were similar due to the contract thing.
