Paramount just got beyond dumb.
They want to re issue Deep Space 9 episodes on VHS. Seriously - who has a VHS player any more? |
Just woke up, feel like I had disturbing dreams but thankfully can't remember most of them very well

I hate April Fool's Day. The internet basically becomes useless for 48 hours (the beginning of the day in the earliest time zone to the end of the day in the latest time zone)

How deplorable. My twitter got hacked, good thing I had a backup in case, but losing my bookmarks and followed artists sucks.

I mentioned a bit back that I was starting to watch Precure, and I've plowed through the first 3 shows (Futari Wa, Max Heart, and Splash Star). I... don't... dislike it so far, but I'm also having a hard time grasping how this series became such a long runner. I get that the physicality and intensity of the fights would have been pretty mind blowing back in the day for a series aimed so explicitly at young girls, but at the same time I haven't enjoyed it as much as I'd hoped so far. I think Splash Star was my favorite of the three, even if it wasn't particularly mind blowing it was well put together and a good deal of fun, probably an 8/10 if I'm feeling generous! The original two were a mess, even if Nagisa was a delightfully flawed protagonist who I'm not going to forget any time soon.
I'll probably watch more eventually, if for no other reason than I just want to understand the popularity of it all and maybe even find a favorite! I'll admit I'm wary of further entries though, since the whole Sentai-esque team angle seems like something that will collapse under its own weight more often than not. Heck, not even Sentai itself can manage so many characters a lot of the time. I really liked the concept of the dual heroes who have to transform and fighter together, and it was fairly novel, so I'm not looking forward to see it go and get replaced by something so much more generic. |
Admittedly I haven't watched a lot of PreCure, but I've read that HeartCatch is well-liked.
|
Aren't PreCure shows typically standalone? Or is it like Ultraman where there's established continuity but designed so you can watch any show by itself?

Literally found out that there's a Fairly OddParents spin-off airing called Fairly Odder. Just watched a clip of it. Not sure what to think of it.

https://i.imgur.com/ny1hm8w.png Seriously though, they need to let that damn thing die. It's come back what, at least once very three years since 2008 and it just gets progressively worse each time. Just take it out fishing in the Nevada desert already. |
I picked up the Destroy All Humans remaster on the PS4 yesterday. The game was a nice blast to the past when I was a teenager back in the 2000s.

The Rider shows are mostly like that.
On another note playing Futurama - Worlds Of Tomorrow It was supposed to continue the series. Now Hulu started it back up. Simpsorama was an attempt to bring Futurama back. (Streamed it on Hulu.) |

The year is 2050. Attack on Titan The Final Season part 30 was just announced. The world rejoices.

there is a palatable aura of sheer detachment in all these posts, I literally never miss your posts out of some morbid(?not sure if that is the right word in this context) curiosity about my fellow Rider-watcher No offense, I’m pretty detached from most human beings other than my kids and girlfriend |

The 7 movies from Roger Moore 007 and On Her Majesty's Secret Service will be in the mail as well as Futurama VII. (Set 6)
They had come up with Worlds Of Tomorrow in an attempt to keep Futurama going. I like the game. Right now I'm working on an Amizonian mission. I have most secondary cast members unlocked. (Including the Wongs and Mrs Conrad) |
I hate how it took me so long to get into Nioh 2.
It is so very much Exactly My Thing. |

Watching Bond 06 On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
I'm hoping to finish all 140 on Futurama before Hulu starts Series X in 2023. (DVD run) Dino Fury Part 2 (31 - 40 and specials) will be on Netflix this fall. I was going to hold off till Netflix gets all of Dino Fury Part 2 up. |
Hey wentwood, I see you post a lot of these 'watched already' posts and I'm really curious, how on earth do you manage to watch so many videos in what seems to be a short amount of time? That has to be some sort of superpower or something.
