Sure he is, but I’m talking about if he’s really evil or not. And I don’t think he is, he never targeted the Digidestined, they attacked him first, he was only after Meicoomon. And he deleted the Infected Kuwagamon. So I’m pretty certain that he isn’t a villain as in a really evil guy, he’s just doing what is best for the Digital World and has no mercy for Digimon and humans that get in his way.

Which is also a bit of a problem. I know the Knights aren't an established concept for Adventure, but the Alphamon we know went so far as to kill himself (Despite being the strongest one around and it's greatest guardian) just to protect it from Dexmon.
He was willing to actually have words before powering through for his quest just because he's seen the fruits of mindless destruction in the name of "For the Digital World."

So to have Alphamon bamf in and just try to kill someone with no reason and no care for what could be in the way is just jarring and, for someone who enjoyed X-Evolution, a little insulting.

While I don't doubt there is an ulterior motive, I'm still not happy with how he's being portrayed as a walking tank, silently obsessed with one objective.

The complete silence from him is ass, I agree with that. It only needed a few cryptic lines and some emotion to make him more interesting. But I see nothing wrong with him otherwise, I think the constant comparison to X-Evolutions or concepts of Royal Knights shouldn’t be applied to this Digimon.

It's just one of those things I can't let go of, is all. I think Alphamon has been portrayed negatively once before, so it's just hard for me to picture him as the villain.

I don't mind Alphamon being a bad guy, but I hope we know more about him soon. Yeah he may be a good guy in other Digimon series, but not all Digimon are the same. Last time I check that Gallantmon and Omnimon from Severs are not the same ones from O1 and Tamers. I remember that there is always more then one of the same Digimon out there.

So I haven't been able to see episode/part one of this yet. But what's the new girls Digimon?

I know, I know. I just placed Alphamon up on a pedestal, and because his appearances are rare, that pedestal was just as equally rarely lowered.

Well I guess that addresses half of my criticisms. Holy shit. Glad Gomamon is getting Vikemon as his Ultimate and not Plesiomon. With this and the Huckmon appearances... It seems they may be pulling some things from the PSP game?

Honestly, I prefer it when Gomamon's Mega is Plesiomon, since Vikemon was supposed to be Armadillomon's Mega and Plesiomon looks like a Mega version of Gomamon anyway.
