I want to say Germain is in reference to Saint Germain, a historical figure known for Alchemy and somehow immortal.

Would not be surprised tbh, especially considering I had to do a double-take when finding out Germain's name given Saint-Germain is an alchemist antagonist in Symphogear.

Gigist, I recall a few people I know mentioning theories that his name is derived from Hermes Trismegistus.

Someone said it was derived from Galatea, a statue made by Pygmalion that came to life.

Gotchard reminds me so much of Pok?mon through. Wonder if there’ll be a second generation of Chemies?

My guess regarding Gaelya is either that it's from "regalia", as in something for which the value is determined by societal norms rather than its properties, or that it's derived from the name of an alchemical symbol of some kind.
