I got a new job today, so that's cool. Finally making some progress in my industry.

I'm actually the opposite. Having a large collection stressed me out, and I had so much more piece of mind when I sold most of it off.

I started up the 2nd half of Beast Morphers today. Also will be on Futurama Series II this wek.

I was going to bail on Netflix after Dino Fury and Cobra Kai finish up. Cobra Kai is going 6 series at least. There might be more. Not sure if Hasbro is going to wipe the deck and start over with Power Rangers As in no adaptation after Dino Fury.

The pains of having something you've been after pop up in stock on Manda, but realising the current shipping available to the UK would double the cost beyond what you're comfortable paying. Back to the waiting game.

In May I need to plan on ordering in the remaining 27 disks from 1990s Sailor Moon as Viz has released the series. Futurama had delayed this a month.

I got the 1st 5 series including the 4 movies from a friend of mine so I filled in the 52 from Comedy Central.

The first two are literally just recaps. You can watch the third movies without them. Although I recommend watching the openings to the movies because I hear they're great.

At the end of Series V Jack was about to marry Aku's daughter but when Jack wiped out Aku in his time his daughter vanished having no longer existed.

Thank Godoka the video game's ending is canon and overwrites that.

When Shout Factory released MMPR - RPM the series was tagged with a Saban Brands bumper.

If re released by Hasbro would we see an E One Entertainment bumper up to Super Ninja Steel?

I've started Gundam Wing.

I fear I have made a grave error.

Yeeaahhh...the general consensus seems to be that Wing hasn't aged very well, and isn't as good as most remember it being.

Joke's on them, my only memories of Wing are a couple of episodes I caught on a tiny TV way up in the corner of a Fuddruckers that was just barely audible, and Endless Waltz, so I don't have much to compare it to!

Anyway I meant that in a good way. This show is nuts.

Having just finished Wing for the first time last month, the show is certainly a trip. While it's not very consistent, as you said it's nuts in an entertaining way

Endless Waltz was badass though, if anything it's worth it for the animation quality

I previously had ordered Pokemon and Viz had released all of Diamond And Pearl up to Sinoh League Victors so I had wanted to catch up those releases. Now on to Sailor Moon.

As for Pokemon holding off until they fully release Black And White. Rival Destinies was due to release.

While not my favorite entry in the franchise, I still really like Wing. Rewatched it and Endless Waltz a few years back and didn't understand why many say it's no good.

For those who do feel the show hasn't aged well though, I recommend reading the "Glory of the Losers" manga. It's really good, even if it does tie into the utter betrayal that is Frozen Teardrop.

Wing was a fun time. It was kind of stupid at times but it wasn't too bad IMO.

I made it through Sailor Moon SuperS.

I can handle whatever this show throws at me.

Done with Beast Morphers in May. Once I ship in Zen in a few days I will be a few months behind before seeing Don Bros. Hopefully I can finish Kyo - Kira this year.

I just bought tickets to see Alexisonfire. Finally, after like 14 years of being a fan, I'll get to see them. I'm SO stoked.

Lol, I actually haven't seen it myself, but the relative negativity towards it from the Gundam fandom has somewhat turned me off of it. You all are re-piquing my interest in it, though, so maybe I'll check it out after all.

IIRC Wing is one of those "Didn't do so hot at home, did numbers abroad" things so that's probably why.

Of course, then you have EVERY OTHER GUNDAM GAME.

From what I understand, Wing's' popularity has had an inverse relationship between the US and Japan. Whereas here in the US, it started off mega popular and has only died down more and more over the years, over in Japan the show has only grown more and more popular as time has gone on, despite having a pretty below-average showing back when it first aired.

I am sure its only a matter of time before some Wing suits show up in Evolution.

Wing is actually popular both outside of Japan and inside of Japan. It is often credited with increasing the amount of female viewership for Gundam in Japan. People like to conjecture about the differences between west and east, but Wing did pretty well just about everywhere it went (obviously some places more than others, but it was a relative hit in all regions).

But yeah, one of the big differences is that Wing got a lot of content after the original airing in Japan, including a very popular Manga that was still going as recently as 2018.

The Evolution playtest was fun but you can tell some things like power level and scale are just going to have be glossed over for the sake of balance and visual congruity. The Wing suits are some of the smallest mobile suits in the Gundam Universe so they might look weird in Evolution.

I feel Wing's success in America is a major factor, still. Gundam had broken through in damn near every market it touched for 20 years except America somehow, then Wing swooped in and finally generated that buzz.

Also, power scaling is already out the window. I don't know everything about Gundam, but I'm pretty sure you put any of the suits in a room with Turn-A, and after about 10 minutes, you'll have Turn-A, alone, with some dust :lol

Well, with the Western market finally interested in their Gundam games, they'd want to appeal to them by adding some of the breakthrough suits.
Hell, we've even gone so far as to modify games just to put more Wing characters in them (Battle Assault removing Zeta for Wing, then making Battle Assault 2 without Japan just to insert more Wing and G suits come to mind)

I need to watch Gundam X at somepoint seems fun. Leopard is a cool design.

Gundam X is a great show. And its sequel manga "Under the Moonlight" is equally as good.

Do I buy UW computron or try to catch up on SODO?
