If a pre-Zyuranger or later un-adapted installment was to be adapted, which would you like to see?

I’d like to see an adaptation of Dairanger. I know the second season of Mighty Morphin’ had the mecha and Kibaranger costume and the remaining five appeared in Super Megaforce, but I wonder how an outright adaptation would be like.

I’ve read that Saban wanted to use the Dairanger costumes in favour of Gingaman for Lost Galaxy, is that true?

Unrelated. Is it worth watching Samurai if I’ve already seen and like Shinkenger? I’m tempted to give Power Rangers a proper watch at some point and am debating what series I should check out first. Considering Samurai’s poor reception, I’m thinking maybe I should steer clear of it until later. The same can be said for Megaforce.

From what I've read what they apparently planned was for the Dairangers to either be an ancient Power Ranger team from Maya's home planet or the Magna Defender's team and it was scrapped because of possible continuity conflicts with the White Ranger in MMPR.

But would they have been called Power Rangers New Powers? I need to know :lol

I wouldn't give any credence to the "Conflicts with Tommy White" theory because the similarities aren't anymore noticeable than the differences MMPR was remarkably good at. Even minor conflicts could be ret-conned with ease. Another idea is that they couldn't figure how to weave them into Lost Galaxy and the health concerns of Valerie Vernon and her re-cast may have changed some original intentions, which is understandable of course. Another possibility is what August Ragone said during Shout's Dairanger Marathon and how imports/knock-offs of Dairangers in the U.S. might have influenced the decision to keep the core five away from MMPR. I'll leave others to decide that one. Personally, I think they should revisit this. I've often wondered what a PR mini-series exploring the unanswered questions would be like. The minimal information we received from Super Megaforce about Dairanger does not outright conflict with any of the earlier Lost Galaxy plans.

Go-Busters, of course. The gears are PERFECT for outside Japan since the gears only speak English anyway, I want to see if we finally have a PR toy that's exactly the same as the Sentai counterpart.

ToQger could have been interesting too if they focus on the child ToQgers. That's the unique thing about ToQgers, they are kids. Would be interesting to see how PR would handle a team that's entirely children and doesn't grow up when transformed.

Either Maskman or Liveman. They don't feel too outdated for 1992~1993. Then again, Turboranger COULD work I guess.

Perhaps, but why would Saban want to sell it if the movie becomes successful?
