I finished up Faiz last night. I feel like the ending didn't have enough closure. Paradise Lost was pretty sweet though. I may not start another Rider show for a bit.
|
So can anyone answer me? Can I skip OOO 27 and 28? And where should I skip to?
|
You can, but they're pretty fun. I also recommend Den-O Let's Go Kamen Riders since OOO has a big part in it and it's pretty awesome.

It resumes at 29.

I was confused because the clips from the previous episodes at the start of 29 suggest we had more progression with Ankh and Eiji got a new power.

Do you need to?
Yeah, I guess so. I mean, it doesn't have massive impact on the show, but it's kind of great in a lot of ways. |

Just finished Movie War Ultimatum.
That was surprisingly terrible. The Inazuman bit was nice, and seeing Double, Accel, OOO, and Birth was nice, but the rest was just meandering blandness. 2 hours just felt way too long when all was said and done, seeing as how the Fourze portion could have occupied about 30 minutes, the Wizard about 20. The climax felt like it was going on for a decade (Also, you all should have seen my face when Banba asked "Just who the hell are you!?" :lol), and Eiji didn't get nearly enough screen time. Also, more Inga. I hate cleavage, but she was the only female character who wasn't a joke. |
So I jumped into episode 29, and wow that was a very dark and very odd episode. The fact that Maki seems to basically want to fuck his sister, even as a child, deeply unsettles me.
I really don't have much else to say other than that, and the fact that Ankh's Greed form is extremely underwhelming, especially considering how badass TaJaDor is. Fourze 32 was incredible for Ryusei who is my favourite Rider by a long mile. Stuff outside of Ryusei though was...eh... Gen literally being in heaven was a little much for me in the first place but then the fact he was brought back to life through the power of friendship was frankly insulting. Considering this was made in response to a very real and very horrible tragedy, you thought they'd avoid over sentimental bullshit like this. I can tell you from experience that shit like this does not boost your spirits in times of tragedy. I mean the acting did pretty well to convince it all but to all the kids out there who probably lost their families being told 'you just need to feel harder', I'd tell them to fuck right off. Cosmic States was fucking AWESOME though. Should I get Base or Cosmic States to represent Gen in my Figuart collection? The same can't be said for Aries Supernova, I won't complain about him not being a CGI monstrosity but come on...horns...is that it? |
Aries's supernova was so underwhelming I didn't even notice the change when I first saw the episode :lol

I want to see that, was it again? Web movie or something for Super Hero Taisen Z that has Dekared, G3 and W teaming up to crack a case. Whatever happened to that?

From what I'm reading, the DVD release for the Net Movies will be on August 9th, so I wouldn't expect to see subs until after that, if they haven't already been ripped and subbed from the site at this point. |

Inga and her cleavage was fanservice. Everything involving Miu, the Kaijin club girl, Nadeshiko, and Poitrine was ridiculous overkill. Thank goodness Medusa didn't fight. I don't think I could have finished the movie if she did :lol |

I gotta say that I didn't mind the " fan service " on Inga. Was it unneccisary? Yes. But I didn't care. The rest of the Twirling butt shots were ridiculous. On the plus side with the females, Rinko was the most badass I have ever seen her! I've watched most of Wizard and I feel like she was more helpful in the 6 minutes in the start of Wizards portion then in the 30 episodes of Wizard that I have seen. |

Just watched episode 30 of OOO, fucking hell this show is terribly written. Every time they explain the past they change it completely and each time they explore the powers of the Greed they change that completely as well. I'm kinda unclear on Maki's backstory as well, I get that he killed his sister but why? Was she a horrible person or was he just obsessed with her and didn't want her to leave? |
Maki's reason for killing his sister is explained near the very end and fits in with his established motivations and expands on his obsession with endings. It's actually one of the more chilling villain motivations and you can, kind of, actually see his point. But that's discussion for later.
Also, how'd they change the Greed's powers this time? (You may be getting to where I, personally, felt the show's story start to show holes in the plot, but I don't recall massive incongruities that soon) |

Well before the Greed had to possess people in order to take human form but then all Ankh does is point at someone and transforms. This may seem somewhat innocuous but when the Greed first decided to blend in like Ankh did they actually dedicated screen time to the bodies they had possessed, drawing our attention to it. So this seemed kinda dumb on the writers part. But like I say with how inconsistent all the flashbacks from 800 years ago have been, I'm assuming right now that half the writing staff have come into this show completely blind. |
That's actually how it's always been. The other Greed didn't posess people, only Ankh did that because he's just an arm. (Ankh does a lot of things regular Greed can't, but then again that's the point of him) The other Greed change into their human forms. They've never posessed people. It's only vaguely hinted that they observed humans and possibly copied/crafted forms based off what they saw, but they're not posessing anyone.
Have you seen Lost Ankh yet? |
