My Dragon Ranger should be arriving sometime soon as he left customs last night.

I have no idea when mine will get here. But at least it was shipped EMS. So the wait won't be so bad. I'm gonna be one happy camper when it gets here.

Mine went out EMS yesterday morning so it should be here anytime, probably tomorrow. It's already in Chicago and headed this way! :D

All my adult collecting life I'm been looking for the perfect action figure for me. Not what I like the most, just what feels to me like a perfect acton figure. This is not it, but it is very, very close.

Everything about it screams refinement. I only have two other Figuarts, but those feel like prototypes to Ryuki's final product.

Like his hands. W's hands are a nightmare to swap and he coems with a pisspoor selection, Sieg's hands almost too slick to get a decent grip on, plus have W's selection problem, but otherwise swap fine. These hands have plenty of grip and swap like a breeze. Plus they give you every one you'll need. The materials overall are also much better. He feels solid and makes my other two Figuarts feel kind of cheap.

The paintwork is exceptional bar a few small, I dare say microscopic, areas of slop. The paint itself is gorgeous. Matte Black and Red complemented by shiny silver while Dragredder and the dragvisor gets shiney everything. Looks great, and the only colour faux pas I see is the joints on Dragredder being Ryuki's light-maroon. Hardly a deal breaker and I can see why they weren't painted.

I don't think anyone's unaware of his amazing accesory count. The little advent cars are sweet. Plastic, printed, rounded edges, they're really nice. And they fit in the dragvisor enough to get the pliers out.

Ryuki's posability is perfect. No crazy triple joints where not needed, no dumb new-age hipster hips. Basic, practical action figure joints made more visually attractive. Everything gets free, rational range of movement except the biceps which are a bit tight on mine. It feels like maybe the black shoulder piece is causing tension. They move, just kind of scarily.

Ryuki is something I thought all but absent in high-end Japanese toys: practicality. Nothing is overdone, nothing is needlessly complex. There's nothing that feels like more could be accomplished with one less joint. It makes sense. The most redundant thing about him is the need to swap the plaugs on his body... which I completely agree with because if they were regular ports the paint would either scrape or they'd be cheap-looking holes. This way they look great and barely effect functionality.

Also I noticed Ryuki's a bit short... but he's shorter in the show (next to everyone else I mean) and W's supposed to be a tall dude I think. Sieg towers over him, but then he really should have his head higher than everyone else.

SEE WHAT I MEAN ABOUT THOSE STUPID HIPS! Yeah I don't know why Ryuki would ever have to kneel unless he found a rabbit or a puppy or something, but at least he can. And he can sit! Like a normal human being, his legs go forward and he can sit. Look at those two other chumps. They have to cross their legs in weird ways. People keep saying those hips with the drop-down joint offer more posability like high kicks. Bullshit. They only drop down to make up for the inability to achive basic poses, and they don't do a good job of it.

I'm glad you're loving Ryuki. He's seriously one of my favorite Figuarts. He comes with all his accessories, he's gorgeous, and the simple inclusion of his cards as separate pieces was something I didn't expect (To put in perspective, Diend (And I presume Decade) came with a cardboard sheet with cards you had to cut out yourself).

Also taking into account Dragredder, who is large enough for them to have released as a complete separate piece, just makes Ryuki all the better. The Ryuki Figuarts really feel like some of the best.

So, has Ryuki sold you on getting a Zolda Figuart, or are you gonna try to hunt for the Torque Figma?

Oh I'm getting Figuarts Zolda no question. I don't know when, but I will. I'm not going for the Figmas, they're just too toy-like, and seeing how not toy-like Ryuki is even at this scale, I dunno if I can settle. Especially on a character and design I like so much.

BTW, I forgot to mention, but under the knight-style eye bit, there's red eyes obviously, but also a compound eye effect! Just nuts. Nutso. Nutso crazy the detail on this boy.

Yeah, well so far, I am not impressed. I pad 1500Y for EMS whereas if I had gotten it from Mandarake, I would have paid 1400-1800Y for DHL and they would have delivered it on Friday and had it in my hands no later than 11:30AM. It is Monday at 12:42PM and I am still waiting for my damn figure from the post office. And I have no idea if it will be coming with the regular mail man (which means I won't have it until after 4) or if it will be coming by someone else. Either way, yes, I am very impatient.

I know that feel. EMS is quick, but a lot of times I end up missing it and having to go pick it up. Although, with my May box, I didn't even get a "sorry we missed you slip" the tracking just updated to "ready for pickup"

On an unrelated note, I was reading comments on Bluefin's Biollante post and stumbled upon your facebook page.

I'll be even more pissed if that happened because I have no way to get to my Post Office except when I have a ride on Saturdays. It takes over an hour to get to it by bus (and the earliest bus would get me there after the PO has closed) and not even possible to walk to. I personally think they should be hand delivering it directly to me when I use EMS.

Yeah it is a pain whenever I miss my post because it's like a six mile walk away.

Are you not using the tracking number? Why are you so outraged about it? If the tracking info didn't say it was out for delivery then I don't understand why you're so upset. It's not as though you can't check where it is.

Plus it's not like it's gonna kill him waiting another day or two. :lol

USPS only updates their tracking numbers once a night, which was around 3am when it changed to state it left customs at 7:29PM on Sunday. As such, there is no excuse why it should not have been delivered today since it done with customs yesterday evening.

And I know it isn't going to kill me to wait an extra day, but I paid for EMS to get the thing NOW not later!!!!! If I wanted slow shipping, I would have chosen SAL.

Dr. Kain, do you just not have patience for any form of shipping? An item is being delivered to you from literally CONTINENTS away within a matter of days. EMS is usually 2-3 business days but can sometimes be 5. Be happy for pete's sake. And whatever opinions you like to make up about USPS tracking it most certainly updates more often than you're saying. Saying "it was in customs yesterday should be here today!" doesn't make sense. You check it the next morning, if it's not at your local distribution center then you obviously won't be getting it that day. Seriously just chill out and stop getting such wacked out expectations.

Honestly, no. That is why I use DHL on Mandarake and have Amazon Prime. This is also why buying online will ALWAYS be inferior compared to walking into a store and buying it right then and there. I don't like waiting when I buy something, I want instant gratification.

I'm going off my past experience with USPS. I have had a package in hand two days before it reflected such on their website. Which also still has not been updated since Sunday night as of this moment. My Dragon Ranger better arrive today!!! :mad:
