The figure isn't out yet, but with the way it's set up I expect it to not have good range in the torso.

As for SS1 Goku, it depends on what you want. If you want how he looks in alot of the movies, then yeah. The recent "Legendary" figure is pretty great.

But if you're looking for just sort of a generalized look, then the "Full Power" Super Saiyan Goku is the best you can get. Especially if you decide to buy a third party head sculpt for it.

Man, it's such a bummer to see the prices of anime Figuarts vs Kamen Rider. These Goku figures are $35 - $40 but the Kamen Rider figures on the same sites are $70 - $100

While it may appear like that, the reality is that you are looking at the "starter" Dragonball Figuarts, which are deliberately low priced to attract newer costumers.

Kamen Rider has them too, the yearly new main Rider figures. Gavv is similarly low-priced.

And all the Dragonball figures who aren’t Goku are just as expensive as every other Rider Figuart.

Ah, and for some reason Kamen Rider is also just way more expensive on P-Bandai - the Ex-Aid figure I have is $75 there, while it's only $45 on Amazon. Meanwhile, A Saiyan Raised on Earth Goku is $35 on both?

Tamashii just announced a 3.0 SS1 Goku that looks really good. So assuming that the QC doesn't end up bad, this could be the definitive SS1 Goku figure.

Turns out I was right. Aesthetically, the Daima Adult Goku is nice, but he has just as little torso movement as other figures with that setup like Beast Gohan.

The new Daima Adult Vegeta, however, is arguably the best Vegeta body we've gotten. Daima styling aside, it also makes for a great SSG Vegeta body if you're willing to do some slight modifying.
