So after my October break I finally sat down and finished the third season to Dragon Ball. I hate to say it, but these episodes were quite bad. It wasn't bad enough that the first five were nothing but filler, but there is so much filler in the tournament arc that it isn't funny. Okay, the first few episodes of filler were somewhat enjoyable, especially the one where Goku had to go to the Demon World to save the princess, but the one after it with Tenshinhan, Chaozu and this purple pig is one of the worst DB episodes ever. At least, it was until I watched the last episode of the season, which turned this nobody fighter Goku beats in three hits into an entire episode of pointless filler. Not only that, but what kind of tournament does a match, ends for the night, does two more matches, then ends for another night? This is ridiculously dragged on to the point of boredom.

Watching Another right now. It's getting more and more interesting.

Class 3(the class you saw) has a curse where the students could die, at anytime, of an unconventional death (ala a Final Destination type death). Anyone related to these students (even the teachers or teacher's assistant) can die too but rarely with family (the chances of a family member dying go up if they find out about the secret of class 3. Also anyone related to the student that has three or more degrees of separation from them, like a distant relative, is safe.) The class also has a "charm" where someone is chosen to "not exist" (in this case, a girl in the class was chosen. But since no one told our main character about the whole thing, the class had to ignore him too because he acknowledged she existed, which added pressure to everyone. Especially the teacher)and when done the chances of any student dying go down (it has a 50%chance of working). The teacher who stabbed himself was under a lot of pressure because a few students (and two people who were related to the students) have died and also the pressure of taking care of his sick mother (which he murdered too). Thus all of this lead to him committing suicide in front of the students. |

Torturing and killing sentient non-human creatures is justifiable because the audience is human and should sympathize with the human races in Elder Scrolls VI: The Bretons, Imperials and Nords All Decide to Kill the Non-Human Races Because Fantasy Creatures Shouldn't Exist. |
Also, if that's the case, why isn't Class 3 abolished just to fuck with the curse and the gap between Class 2 and Class 4 is ignored like it is for Japanese/American buildings missing a 4th Floor/13th Floor? Because reasons?

Finished Another just now. All I'm going to say is that there's a lot of deaths and a whole lot of blood but the ending was nice.

I just watched a scene from Panty and Stockings. That is all.

After War Gundam X Episode 1, 2, and 3
And thus another Gundam show is started. My first impressions and thoughts are...actually pretty damn good. I'm liking the whole Mad Max feel the show has to it, and it definitely shows with some of the mech designs. There isn't really a defined story to go on for now though, so I can't really talk about that. I do like the background though, as it helps setup the world for the show and even gives some characters something for them to develop with. I'm liking the characters as well (the Frost Brothers are my favorites so far). All of the ones shown so far (that can be considered main) are quite nice and while only Garrod has seems to have gotten some development, they make a nice first impression. Well, except for Tiffa. She's more doll like then goddamn Rei Ayanami. The animation is dated, but it isn't terrible, the action scenes are fairly nice (though compared to MS Team they do kinda come off as a little slow and boring), and the music is as always great. I'm quite liking what I'm seeing of X so far. I do believe I'll keep on watching. |
Still watching Gurren Lagann for the 3rd time *haven't been following Hellsing Ultimate for a few weeks, dafuq is wrong with me :lol * & well *SPOILERS*, I still can NOT get over when Simon goes mother f**king 180 on the rest of Team Dai-Gurren & becomes their leader, also I like his speech from episode 11 more than all the speeches Kamina made in the 1st 8 episodes :lol.

I watched the first 14 episodes to Dragon Ball Season 4. Seriously though, my complaints from yesterday continue today. They dragged out 22nd tournament way longer than necessary. At least the King Piccolo stuff has been pretty cool so far.

Gundam 00 episode 22: Of course, the Trinity sibling I wanted dead the most is the only one that survives :lol. But Trans-Am Exia was neat, too.

So if any of y'all are curious, I recently counted down my top ten favorite anime of all time for the blog as requested by a reader. Enjoy.

So, I finished the first season of 00.
And holy crap was that awesome. Lockon died like a friggin' badass. Usually I'd be upset about by favorite pilot dying, but he did it like a boss, so it's ok. It felt like things were just a bit rushed to make up for the painfully slow start the show had, but it did give the final episodes a very shit-just-hit-the-fan kind of feel. I eagerly await season 2. |
Cardfight Vanguard episode 138.
That awkward moment when your from being a zombie and your surrounded by other zombies. And it leads to badass moments. |
I'm currently watching the recent episode of Sailor Moon Crystal. I don't care what the haters say as of this point, this series is freaking awesome and I consider it as one of the best anime series of 2014.

I saw the first episode of Gundam G Recognista and I'm partway through ep. 2. It's underwhelming. I knew it'd would't be great, but the characters are boing, the story's rather uninteresting, the animation's lazy (never before have I seen an anime intro that is just recycled footage from the show), and the MS designs aren't even that good-looking. Oh well, at least the opening theme's kinda catchy.

BTW, I watched the first 10 episodes to Dragon Ball Season 5. I am so happy to finally have the Piccolo Daimaou arc done as the anime dragged that out way too long. I also did not care for the filler with Tenshinhan and gang trying to stop a volcano. The other thing I just do not get is that they have this filler take place during the three years of Goku's training, but they put it all at the BEGINNING of his training. Why not spread it out? Why not show the training over the course of the three years? It just seems dumb to create this filler of him training in his first weeks and then just time jump to three years later. Thank the gods I only have 21 episodes left. I just hope the tournament is not dragged out as long as last time. At least I'm done with the major filler episodes until I get to Z. |

It's definitely post UC (I think the new calendar is called the Reguild Century or something like that?), but exactly how long after is unknown.

Well I just finished Dragon Ball and overall I have a lot of mixed feelings about it as a whole. The 23rd Tenkaichi tournament arc was down right awesome in the anime form. I do think the Goku/Piccolo battle was about two episodes too long, but it was such a great fight. Unfortunately, the series ends on a boring pointless five episode filler arc that was awful and seems to have dumbed down Goku's abilities for some strange reason.
The series as a whole was good, but I really think I would have enjoyed it a lot more had I not read the manga first. The amount of filler throughout the show was tiresome, especially when certain areas were needlessly stretched out (such as the 22nd tournament). It also does not help when there are things the filler contradicts later on that occurs during the series (like Gero being the creator of the Artificial Humans instead of Flappe). Another thing I found to be weaker here were the jokes. A lot of the jokes done in the manga were much funnier than the anime, but there were some great ones in the anime nonetheless. Finally, I do think they should have taken advantage of Toriyama's major time jumps with their filler, as they tended to spend just the first few weeks after a manga event in filler and then just made the time jump. I would have loved to have seen Goku's training with Popo spread throughout the entire three years instead of what they did do. Overall, it was great to finally experience the series in anime form now, but I doubt this is a series I will ever watch from start to finish again. My favorite arc is hands down the Red Ribbon Army saga followed by the 23rd tournament. EDIT: Well, I started to watch DBZ and holy crap, I am so glad I bought the Dragon Boxes when they were coming out. The video quality is freaking incredible on them. |
Watched the next two discs of DBZ (8-21) and man, it has been a while since I have seen these episodes. In fact, there are a few I have only seen once before (such as the robot Gohan meets) due to rarely getting to see the early stuff uncut.
Also, this came in today: http://i1366.photobucket.com/albums/...ps7ea283e2.jpg |
So in my ongoing quest for something to watch while Netflix get 00 Season 2 in, I saw the first episode of Gundam Wing. It wasn't as bad as G Reco, but nothing really seemed exceptionally neat or interesting about it. I'll watch more of it someday, but not right now. I think I'll try out G Gundam next, that one looks worthwhile.

Gundam Wing is the best Gundam series out there. You should definitely watch it. One of the best things about it is that the Gundams are not being controlled by the friggin military. That is the one thing that always annoys me in the series. The military has these ultimate powered machines that are piloted by children they abuse, but these children just take it up the ass without question. I want to see a series where the child says screw it and just blows up the entire colony he was on and goes on a rampage against the military.

And I hate Wing,Destiny and OO because terrorists are being celebrated as heroes the only series I've been able to tolerate that in is Zeta and that's due to the AEUG not launching unprovoked assaults against the world's militaries/cities/colonies and The Titans/Axis being completely irredeemable. So I'll respectively disagree with you on Wing being the best series. |

Maybe you're right as I haven't seen Wing aside from Endless Waltz so maybe it isn't as bad as Destiny and 00. |
Speaking of Gundam I just rented the first SEED movie.
May god have mercy in my soul |
Speaking of Gundam some more, I started watching the movie trilogy. Not too bad in all honesty. Though I will say the battles aren't as great as I picture them in my head after reading The Origin.
That reminds me, I should get back to watching X considering how much I freaking loved the episodes I saw so far. |

But do the movies feel a bit more rough compared to the Origin? |
